Here's a place to discuss the upcoming streaming service which has been confirmed to include: Titans, Young Justice, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn and others to come.

I think this is going to be a gamechanger for DC. Let's face it, the DCEU hasn't been a rousing success, while their output on television has been generally well received. I think it's a great idea to put more effort into their television series because that's one area where they can actually compete with Marvel.

I think that if Swamp Thing, Titans, and Doom Patrol are all major successes, we could begin to see a large number of other characters getting adaptations. I can even see DC opting to release feature length films on this service under the Elseworlds "DC Dark/DC Black" banner.

What would I want to see on this service? As far as live action, we'd all want to see a big budget Batman tv series, but I think it'd be cool to get a noirish supernatural police procedural series starring Detective John Jones/Martian Manhunter. His supporting role in Supergirl is enjoyable, but I think he could carry his own series. On the animated side, Sandman for sure.

I’m looking forward to it arriving. I’m hoping that the Metropolis show is been reworked so it has Superman in it.

I want a show about the Question.

I keep hearing there is a DC Streaming Service coming but never see a launch date.

DC Universe Streaming Service Set To Launch With Live-Action ‘Titans’, ‘Doom Patrol’, & ‘Swamp Thing’

DC comic fans brace yourself — a new subscription service just for you is set to launch this fall. DC Universe will be the first-its-kind, one-stop-shop digital service that will feature stream original live action and animated series.

Fans will be able to stream original live-action series Titans, Doom Patrol, and Swamp Thing as well as original animated series include Young Justice: Outsiders and Harley Quinn.

Developed by Warner Bros. Television, Swamp Thing and Doom Patrol are slated for a 2019 release while the dramatic, live action adventure series Titans will premieres later this year. Warner Bros. Animation is also developing a slate of animated TV series including Harley Quinn and the third season of Young Justice, both are scheduled to debut in 2019.

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging. This gritty take on the classic Titans franchise finds Dick Grayson and a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness named Rachel Roth as they get embroiled in a conspiracy. They’re joined by Starfire and Beast Boy to become a surrogate family and team.
Doom Patrol is a reimagining of one of DC’s strangest group of outcasts: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Crazy Jane. Led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder they’re called into action by none other than the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg. These rejects band together on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC universe.
Swamp Thing is a scary love story following Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets.
Young Justice: Outsiders features the return of the fan favorite animated series with a huge cast of DC’s most iconic young superheroes – plus brand-new characters, many of whom are just discovering their unique meta-powers and special abilities. Set against the backdrop of a rich, deep world that touches all corners of the DC universe, the season focuses on meta–trafficking, and an intergalactic arms race for control of these super–powered youths.
Harley Quinn tracks the lovable, raucous villain with a fractured psyche after she breaks up with The Joker and tries to make it on her own to become Gotham’s main queen-pin.

As an added bonus some of DC’s popular superhero films and series will be available on the service for exclusive viewing windows. This includes all four original Superman pics with Christopher Reeve as well as remastered TV shows such as Batman: The Animated Series and the original Wonder Woman series. The service will also feature a selection of animated pics including, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Green Lantern: First Flight, and Wonder Woman.

With its “Watch-Read-Connect-Explore-Win-Shop” platform, DC Universe will feature a curated library of DC comic books for your reading pleasure including vintage books that first introduced Superman and Batman. Members will also be able to connect with other DC fans as all as a news source & encyclopedia for everything you need to know in the DC world. It will also feature sweepstakes, contests and exclusive merchandise.

The service will go live later this fall but fans can sign up for an opportunity to hop on board early in August for the beta version which will give members a chance to test the new digital experience and provide valuable feedback before it reaches the masses.

If it becomes available in the UK and is no more expensive than £10 I’ll get it for sure.

Don’t like the idea of a Harley Quinn show but I’ll accept it as long as it doesn’t contain scenes like this:

I'm so tired of this "not available outside of this and that country" ********. No wonder piracy still exists.
It sounds like the comic section will be somewhat limited which is a major bummer. Give me access to all they have, whenever I want to read it and I'll gladly pay the equivalent to 15-20 bucks.

I signed up for updates so we'll see what happens. As long as it's under $20/month I should be good

I don’t wanna pay for another streaming service unless it’s worth it, so I’m gonna wait until the reviews are in before I consider signing up. And if other people pirate the series and I’m allowed to form my own opinion, so much the better. :o

Even though I already own pretty much all of my favorite DC movies and tv shows this looks enticing. Titans, Young Justice and Swamp Thing will make or break whether i decide to sign up for it. I have no doubt Young Justice will be great but Titans is going to have to be DAREDEVIL level good.

I will gladly post reviews but, being an owner of a website myself who has to deal with pirates, I won't be pirating anything

They want to make sure this isn’t just in the US, or Kodi is going to become the unofficial international DC streaming service...

A big reveal and it's everything that we know minus the important stuff!

Where's my launch date! My price! My premiere dates! Trailers!

Under $20! I need it under $10 lol

I’d imagine there will be different tiers of accounts offered

I’ll pay for the highest one which I’d imagine is gonna be 20 a month, would be well worth it for me.

Kodi is pretty much dead, or at least Exodus is. Doesn't help that they stopped developing for anything below Windows 10 either. I used it all the time, but haven't touched it in about a year probably.

I think this is a great step for DC, just can't wait to see the costing for the platform, and hope it comes to Canada.

I have a subscription to Amazon Prime just so I can watch BTAS and STAS. Very disappointing that they’re only going to have the first two seasons of BTAS on DCU. I was hoping they’d have Batman 66 on there too

They'll probably roll all of that stuff out eventually. I'm sure this announcement didn't have everything that will be on it.

Problem is that a lot of rights are still tied up so they have to wait for them to expire like Marvel has to for their Disney service.

DC should have focused these characters and these efforts on their movies. Titans should have been a major motion picture, I cannot emphasize enough how much they have dropped the ball with that one.

As it stands, I am slightly looking forward to this, approaching with cautious optimism. But if this thing goes sideways, DC will be hard pressed to recover from the negative branding they have created for themselves.

You implying the same Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Akiva Goldsman?
Nah, they're fine where they are.

A lot of these characters work better in a tv-medium anyway. Which is something Titans does. They don't necessarily need a big movie that may fail.

Why does everyone suddenly hate Geoff Johns now? I thought he was a well regarded among DC fans? Am I missing something? I'm just curious on what's the story behind this.
