DC's Definitive Joker origin

DC has #13 listed as coming out on the 9th. I bet this will end up being the same irritating situation as with Superman Confidential. We're still waiting for the real #6 (the end of Cooke and Sale's arc), where #7 was moved up to #6.

EDIT: Oh wow. Looks like it's SC is finally coming. #11 will be released on Jan. 16th.

This story bugs me because from the moment he falls into the chemicals, it's awesome. It's the backstory that pisses me all the way off. That's just wrong. I don't care how much Alan Moore talks **** on The Killing Joke, I don't care how often the Joker says he doesn't remember his own origin, I don't care if it will always be a mystery...no. The Killing Joke is what really happened.

ah good, ive seen these issues in my local forbidden planet and ive quickly read through them now and again but i dont like collecting the comics, i always lose them so i just stick to GN's so im happy to hear that!

The GN would be a great present for any uninitiated folk who liked the movie. It's a smoother transition into the medium than giving them, say DKR or the Killing Joke for example.

Yeah, me too. I made an exception for this story ... seeing as how it is so compelling and well written. Luckily I can get rid of these issues. I prefer to have a crisp collected graphic novel on my book shelf as opposed to flimsy seperated issues w/ advertisements every few pages interrupting the story.

This better not be true. I'll be so pissed off with DC, if I've wasted my money on 5 out of 6 issues of this arc, then I have to buy them all over again in the TPB to read the conclusion.

will you people stop freaking out? DC.com, and Marvel.com for that matter, always have solicits that are wrong posted, and they never, ever update them after they're up. 12 got pushed back, 13 will probably also get pushed back. Worst case scenario is that it ends up like Superman: Confidential, where they throw in a filler arc (which will start with issue 12) until the conclusion of the arc is finished, at which point they will release the last part as whatever # the book is up to that that point. Jesus f**king Christ...

seeing as nothing at all came out today, my guess is they're waiting for the issue to be done instead of putting in a filler arc, ala Superman Confidential.

My question is...what's the delay on? It certainly cant be the art, as it's not exactly so detailed that it would make the book go a full month over schedule.
