Sounds pretty good to me  I'm hoping that they can help Enchantress regain her sanity and she joins the team. Think it would be pretty neat if she was on the team too

The siege that will reverberate through history to the present-day DCU begins as the Demon Etrigan and his unlikely lover, Madame Xanadu, face the Horde! What five (mostly) noble souls would be crazy enough to join them? The cover gives but a hint, and the point could well be moot by the time this issue’s done. For the Horde is armed with the magic of Mordru – including some decidedly different dragons!

Think about that for a second

Quite a mental image isn't it :ninja:

Look out Animal Man! Tetsuo is going to get you!

Everything here looks great. Except I, Vampyre...a little too Anne Rice for my taste.

Haha, the exact thought popped into my head as well. I'm guessing the woman in the very Wonder Woman-ish suit is the Amazon mentioned before in Demon Knights?

Oh, also, they posted up the Stormwatch solicit with this stuff as well.

The moon is alive! Following the events of SUPERMAN #1 where [TEXT REDACTED], the covert team of sci-fi Super Heroes known as Stormwatch must not only battle the Earth's moon, but find a way to hide its monstrous metamorphosis from the rest of the Earth! How? Uh, they're working on it. Meanwhile, the recruitment of Midnighter goes poorly, and we learn why the Martian Manhunter is a member of the team. Written by Paul Cornell (Doctor Who)!
Apparently some kind of crossover going on with Perez's Superman. And holy ****, they are fighting the moon. I always wanted to write a story like that, damn you Cornell! Though, I do find it weird with being the regular writer for the current Action Comics, they only credit him with Doctor Who...

Fighting the moon? Everything feels so right.

They are fighting the moon

Oh my golly gosh they are fighting the moon

If this comic book was candy I would eat an entire store full of it

If this comic book was alcohol I would binge drink it until my liver was completely wrecked

This comic is definitely going to sell well. How can anyone not want to read about superheroes fighting an evil moon

A 12 issue Shade mini by JAMES ROBINSON. Another one for my buy list

I will definitely be checking that out. Despite how crummy Cry for Justice was the later issues of his JLA were neat and the Shade was a character I really dug during Starman

True 'dat

I'm glad Apollo and Midnighter are going to be on this team too. Although I'm :cmad: that their apparently not a couple anymore hopefully Cornell with have them hook up again as soon as possible

Cornell has said that they're both out and proud. He's also said we'll get to see the moment when they first meet.

This makes me :)

I love those two really glad that their going to be in the Stormwatch series

And I'm looking forward to seeing Apollo vs The Moon. Surely that will be the greatest fight in the history of superhero comic books

Yep Batwoman and the supernatural and 'edge' DC comic books are the ones I'm most looking forward to

Really interested in seeing how Apollo and Midnighter first meet and how they fall in love :)

And Demon Knights sounds amazing. Sounds like a sword and sorcery version of Secret Six so I'm digging that

And Frankenstein sounds like it could be a pretty interesting series too

Like the idea in Frankenstein of having one off flashback issues in between arcs

That sounds like a pretty neat idea

Are you going to be buying the Frankenstein series

Yep, for sure. Already preordered it along with most of the other DCU Dark books (Except for I, Vampire and Voodoo. The former I'm not really interested in, the latter Im gonna try digitally maybe).

I'm super excited for these books, Demon Knights, Animal Man and Frankenstein most especially

I'm thinking of checking out Voodoo because an exotic dancer who's a half alien superhero sounds like it could be the most :awesome: thing ever but yep not sure about I vampire

My comic book shop is totally okay with people reading comics in the store before deciding whether they are going to buy them or not so I will probably check it out and decide whether or not I'll buy it

Yeah, the comic shop back home before I moved earlier this year was like that. Now I don't even have a real comic shop, we have an entertainment store that does movies, books, music and other stuff and very obviously doesn't care about their comics section enough to put them out on time and its a guessing game as to whether or not their up. I went in there a played out this scenario way too many times with way too many employees on wednesday afternoons:

Me: Where are the comics that are supposed to be out today?
Employee: Um... which ones are supposed to be out today.
Me: All of them...
Employee (starting to panic cause they know nothing): Uh... Uh... I don't really know anything about that.

I eventually decided they were too dumb for my business when I asked one of the managers about it and they seemed completely ignorant of when comics are supposed to come out. So I started getting mine online exclusively, which is nice cause you get a big discount if you order a couple months in advance through some retailers.

Basically, since I refuse to go to the only comics retailer in the area Im sort of stuck with deciding from online previews and interviews with creators and such. And I just couldn't really decide if Voodoo would be worth my time and I've never read anything by the writer so I'm just gonna wait and see if I hear good things about it.

As for I, Vampire, I'm just kind of sick of vampire stories (though I do love American Vampire) and it taking place in the DCU isn't enough of a hook for me and I've never heard of the writer. If I hear some amazing stuff about it I might check it out later but from what I've seen so far hasn't really impressed me.

They need to add Raven JL: Dark. She would fit perfectly.
