Add Dead Rising 4 to the growing list of timed exclusives to hit Valve's digital distribution platform, Steam. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, as well as the likes of Ryse: Son of Rome, Quantum Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Ori and the Blind Forest, Dead Rising 4 will be coming to Steam next month on March 14th, 2017. The news was announced in a blog post on the Capcom website which also included the listings for the minimum and recommended specs.

Dead Rising 4 brought back the game's original protagonist, Frank West in the original location, Willamette, Colorado 16 years after the events of the original game. If you're looking to pick up the game pretty soon, it's worth noting that there is a special pre-launch discount price of $47.99, which will increase to the standard retail price of $59.99 the moment the game launches. This is likely going to be the best price the Steam version will see for some time, so take advantage if you plan on getting the game.

Capcom will release the “Frank Rising” downloadable content for Dead Rising 4 on April 4 for $9.99 or as part of the Season Pass, publisher Microsoft announced.



“Frank Rising” features a new single-player story that explores what happens to Frank after a new outbreak in Willamette. Here’s an overview:​

Frank is infected and wanders the city beaten, bloody and driven only by a need to feast. When a former ally discovers him, he is written off as incurable. Luckily, he’ll find help from an unlikely resource. As Frank begins to recover he’ll need to race to find a permanent cure while developing all-new abilities and strength. Unfortunately, he can no longer eat food to stay alive and must feast on others to survive. As he is trying to save himself, Frank learns that several survivors he cares about are trapped in the city with him and he must rescue them – and himself – before the government closes his case file for good and wipes the city off the map.​

Following the release of “Frank Rising,” Capcom will release “Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf,” another add-on that sees Frank take to the golf course. A release date has not been announced, but it will cost $9.99 and is also included with the Season Pass. Here’s an overview:​

With multiple holes of pure wanton destruction, in Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf players will flip zombies the bird as they navigate the greens in the Willamette Mall and surrounding town. Unlock specialized golf clubs, costumes and balls as Frank West provides play-by-play commentary for swings, birdies, and shots. Collect Power-Ups to take the game to the next level and take out zombies with explosive style while keeping swings low and the kill count high. Hone course skills to perfection in single player, fight for the high score online in a 4-player multiplayer, or join friends in your living room with turn-based co-op.​

Despite some stumbles, Capcom still climes the hill.







The Japanese giant, Capcom, announced it's earnings results for the fiscal year ending on March 31. Revenue has shown an increase, despite some setbacks in sales expectations regarding Dead Rising 4.
Revenue rose 13.2 percent, while net income also saw improvement, rising 14.6 percent compared to last year. Their real winners of the fiscal year were Resident Evil 7 and Monster Hunter XX, which according to Capcom showed "Solid performance."
The real stumbling block was Dead Rising 4. The newest entry to the tongue-in-cheek series that released for Xbox One and PC. It was noted that the mixed reaction to Dead Rising 4 came from the "more approachable" nature of the game did not resonate with everyone.
Dead Rising 4 released in December without much notice on Xbox One and PC. They expected to ship 2 million units by the end of March, though it's unclear what the final numbers were.
Moving forward, Capcom said it will "strengthen digital download sales and increase our pipeline of major title releases according to our medium-term strategic map."
In other earnings news, Nintendo shows a huge success in Nintendo Switch sales today.

Capcom has announced Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package, the “definitive Dead Rising 4 experience,” for PlayStation 4. It will launch in North America and Europe on December 5 for $49.99.




The PlayStation 4 version of Dead Rising 4 will include all of the downloadable content and bonus content from the December 2016-released Xbox One and PC versions, in addition to a new “Capcom Heroes” mode in which Frank West is able to unlock classic Capcom characters outfits and weapons, and perform “outrageous” signature attacks.

Capcom has revealed the final set of hero outfits playable in the new “Capcom Heroes Mode” being introduced with the launch of Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package for PlayStation 4.


The final set of outfits are Jill Valentine (Resident Evil), Arthur (Ghost n’ Goblins), Morrigan (Darkstalkers), Bass (Mega Man), Viewtiful Joe, and Amaterasu (Okami).


This brings the total amount of Capcom heroes to 17. Previously announced heroes include X (Mega Man X), Sissel (Ghost Trick), Adam “The Clown,” MacIntyre (Dead Rising), Dante (Devil May Cry), “Classic” Frank West (Dead Rising), and Street Fighter‘s Mecha Zangief, M. Bison, Cammy, Ryu, and Akuma.

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) announces that it expects to record losses from the termination of development projects in its consolidated financial results for the six months of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019 (April 1, 2018 – September 30, 2018). Details are as follows:

1. Details of losses from the termination of development projects

Capcom Game Studio Vancouver, Inc., a consolidated subsidiary of Capcom, primarily carries out development of home video game software for markets outside of Japan; however, Capcom is currently reviewing the allocation of its development resources that support the production of world-class content.

In consideration of this process, as a result of reviewing titles in development at Capcom Game Studio Vancouver, Inc., Capcom now expects to record losses from the termination of development projects of approximately 4.5 billion yen under cost of sales in its consolidated financial results for the six months of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019.

2. Outlook

Regarding Capcom’s full-year business forecast, due to factors including the continued robust performance of the PC version of Monster Hunter: Worldexceeding the company’s expectations since its release on the Steam platform in August, following the blockbuster performance of the title after its initial release in January of this year, the forecast for Capcom’s consolidated business results remains the same as what was projected at the financial results announcement on May 8, 2018.

Further, there are no changes to the amounts of the interim dividend or year-end dividend that were announced on the same day.
