Deadpool 2 Deadpool 2 News and Discussion - Part 1

He renewed his contract for two more years. Hes staying in Disney until 2021.

I'd wager that if there are future rated R films under some extended branch of Disney/MCU, that those IP would not "crossover" into the main MCU features. They'd be kept segregated. Like, we wouldn't see Deadpool appear in an Avengers movie for example. I would surely imagine "cross references" would still be made, and a single Universe would be established. Though it would be similar to how Daredevil and The Defenders are in relation to the Avengers.

I think Deadpool will crossover into the MCU but they'll keep him PG-13 in those cases. And of course he will mention that.

Deadpool I think is safe. I am betting he ends up being adopted into the MCU. Wouldn't be hard to, really.

I think, even if Marvel ultimately makes the X-Men their own separate world/alternate Earth, Deadpool will still show up in the current MCU/Earth-Avengers. Its just too good a chance to pass up, and the world that he lives in, in his own movie? Feels a lot more like the hypothetical "World where the X-Men were always part of the MCU" than any of the actual "Ten minutes to genocide" X-Men worlds, anyway.

Marvel is going to put the X-Men in the MCU. Bank on it. They won't keep them separate. They want that Wolverine in the Avengers money.

I think Deadpool will be in the MCU sorta like the shows but a bit more connected.

I'm not sure if I could see him showing up in say Avengers 5 as anything more than a cameo though

Would Wolverine actually bring in more money though? I'd say infinity war is going to attract as many fans as would be interested in watching it. Having wolverine on the slate wouldn't really increase the boxoffice anymore.

Please just make it cannon that that was ben parker who died while deadpool was getting changed in the phonebox.

If he maybe had a similarly sized role like Spidey had in Civil War, in any Avengers Movie, I'd be more than happy. Give him a few minutes, then have him decide to leave because he can't deal with the PG-13 nonsense any longer.

With the Disney marketing machine, yes it would

Ha yeah. He'll say what he's not allowed to do and then instantly do it when he gets back to his own film.

You guys believe Mr Iger Loooool.......You know he is just saying what people/fanboys/critics of this deal want to hear right. That's all they did yesterday.

Clearly we should be believing you instead right?

It's funnier that you actually think they are gonna ruin Deadpool just cause you're a lil sad about Fox selling it's company after years of bashing Marvel.

Disney is releasing Deadpool 2. They will be releasing R rated films. Time to get over it. They want that guaranteed Deadpool audience money.

There's no logical reason why they wouldn't keep Deadpool R-rated. Clearly there's demand, and the first one was basically printing money. And obviously Disney doesn't mind R-rated material, even if they have put their mature stuff only on Netflix so far.

The only issue I see, is that they have to plan out any future movies way more carefully now, so they don't mess around with Disney's carefully laid out plans for future characters and movies.

Just as well these dudes are awesome at planning.

FOX are releasing Deadpool 2 actually.

Feige is the one who decides...Iger listens to him....If Feige wants to take all the credit and start fresh with Deadpool, Iger will do that for him, plans change every time. We need to hear from Feige himself. I will believe an R rated Disney Deadpool film is happening when I see it.

Fox sold.

If Disney was so anti-R everything then Touchstone pictures would have never existed.

Making another brand is exactly what you do in this situation and what quite a few on here said would be happening. Now we had official word that's what they are considering. There is no reason to believe otherwise at this point.
