[David] embraces what hes very good at, which I think is very smart. Theres ton of action in it. The tease is, a guy whos 49 years old on the cusp of 50 who got in the best shape of his life, especially exteriorly, and I was extremely disciplined throughout that whole thing. I got beat to **** on that movie. Thats all I know. I had stuntmen throwing me all over the place. Ive got a shoulder issue, Ive got a knee issue that Ive got to deal with now, but we got through it. We got through it. I pushed hard and I suffered because of it.
...X-FORCEIm not going to tell you how much Im in the film, but its his introduction, and I think his introduction, even in the small promos and teasers that David has shown me, I think its a proper reveal. I think were not trying to hide the fact that this is the beginning of Cable and absolutely not the end. I think when youre sensitive about how you reveal this character theres a sense of mystery in it, so then when we finally get into X-Force, youre going to be with this guy full blown all the time. Theres a lot to be revealed. Theres a lot to be revealed, but theres three more movies to reveal more.
Source: ColliderI think [X-Force films] sometime next year or soon thereafter. It depends. It all depends. It depends on how Deadpool 2 does, but I dont think thats a make or break kind of deal. Drew Goddard is already involved in it. Hes into it now. I know he and Ryan were meeting. Ive met him once, and so this is all kind of going ahead. How it goes ahead, I know that theyre preparing, and I know that its something that Im set to do. When it happens theyre going to put it as fast as they can. I think Drew Goddard is doing his movie right now and then once hes kind of wrapped up with that and this movie comes out I think well be ready to start the other one.
Hear, hear.I don't mind.![]()

I definitely expect them to start at each other's throats!Based on Brolin's comments, I think that Cable will be an antagonist from Deadpool's (and Domino's) point of view for much of the movie. Which is exciting, since it creates the space to explore their relationship as established in the earlier comics in which they appear together.
If I remember correctly, they started out as adversaries in the first Cable & Deadpool story, as well.
And yes, X-Force will definitely be in theaters by 2020. Actually, if Drew Goddard manages to fit in prep for the movie while he's finishing post on Bad Times at El Royale, they could start filming by the end of next year to make the November 2019 release. Who knows...
Nah, he was just on the table as a possibility for the time traveler in DOFP before being replaced by Wolverine. Fox had been trying to introduce the character for awhile, and Liefeld had to tell Fox after Origins that a Deadpool film didn't require Cable initially. And Kinberg/Singer wanted Cable only as a power display character in DoFP...
Wonder what the X-Force team will look like.
