Eh, IW will have made most of it's money by the time Deadpool 2 comes out. Besides the two being superhero properties, the two IP's are rather different and can co-exist just fine.

Idk, This movie will have a bigger budget, bigger cast, time travel/alternate worlds, and Josh Brolin

DP1, being practically an indie comedy, would be much different, but given the expectations for the sequel I feel like the two movies are in similar position in terms of hype and the level of spectacle people look for. The audiences for the two films will be very similar, making cannabalizing of profits a real possibility

I am surprised FOX didn't give Deadpool 2 the spot that New Mutants originally had. April seems like a soft month.

It probably could. I don't mind the move, really. As mentioned, Avengers will make a good chunk in that time before Deadpool 2 comes out and chances are it probably would've had as much of a hurdle competing with Solo as well.

fox must have confidence in it. it also proves untill sale if finilzed and fox is started folded into disney in spring 2019 fox is going to operate as it has been.
