It would be, but I have seen mentioned of that. Let me see if I can find a source. So far I've only found:

Yeah i remember reading the interview, but thought to my self 'surely not?' If they do it it's a ridiculous decision.

Well it comes down to a couple of things:

1) How much do they want to use these characters? Personally I think the movies can do without them.
2) Do they want to reference things from the more mature Netflix series in their PG-13 universe?
3) How do they tune down the characters to fit in the PG-13 universe and will they still feel like the same character?
4) How does a cross-over like that work legally? I suspect there might be some problems carrying over the Netflix version to the big screen.

New onscreen versions would not give any of these problems.

I know it's being considered a different brand at the moment, but it's still Marvel doing it, so they could change their minds. Maybe Deadpool will help in that. Mi certainly hope so.
Disney has had very long experience at creating cinematic brands. Not straying beyond the brand is an important part of maintaining confidence in it. There won't be an R-rated Star Wars movie, or a PG-13 Disney animated production, because those things go against the image they want people to have when they think of those properties.

And it's not that Disney thinks those things couldn't make money, but that in the long-term it's better to keep things consistent.

So glad to see Ryan Reynolds get a successful franchise.

Yeah I know all of this, but a quick cameo and acknowledgements wouldn't effect any of this in my eyes.

I wouldn't want an R rated Star Wars, and that's different anyway as it wasn't adapted from another medium.

The MCU movies are, and there are plenty of Marvel characters that would need an R Rated movie. If they don't change that's up to them, but for me it would only help them make more money.

The Netflix shows are only connected theoretically. A few throw away references here and there aside it's basically it's own universe. Heck they already said they'll probably recast if they want to use characters previously used in Netflix shows on the big screen.

They've never said they'll probably recast, they said that's always a possibility. I highly doubt they would recast Daredevil after all the positive buzz that series, and JJ for that matter, recieved.

If they did it would be incredibly stupid, both shows were great and very well thought of.

Awesome to hear the early reports of a mid-30s Friday were way off. Go Deadpool go!

Tried to find more sources, but I think that whatever I read was blown out of context a bit, so my mistake there. I still really wouldn't be surprised if they do recast though, but then again as I said I think like they really don't need to have the characters there any time soon. They already have more than enough to work with.

glad to see DP doing well. I trusted that the movie wouldve been good but I didn't think it would do so well financially.

Very happy to be proven wrong. We'll see how far off my 200-300 mill prediction is.

Yeah it sounds like $300 million domestic is actually on the table. I would have laughed in the face of anyone who told me that a week ago.

Yeah, it's insane. We will see how well it holds next weekend, but it seems like the reception is extremely good.

Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool earned a record $47.5 on Friday, putting in course for a estimated three-day gross of $117 million and four-day haul of $130 million over the long Valentine's Day/Presidents Day weekend — among the top 10 comic book openings of all time and the biggest ever for an R-rated title.
Damn... that's some big money right there.

Holy crap.

That's bigger than the opening weekend for Man of Steel, to bring in DC comparisons in addition to the Marvel ones.

Somewhere WB execs are frantically reshooting BvS to include bewbs and d*ck jokes...

I have no doubt they are having some serious conversations about Suicide Squad.

I just read the Variety report, holy ***** that is insane.

And get banned in China? Nah not worth the R rating.

Deadpool is obviously going to cleansweep domestically, but it's currently wait and see internationally, lets not forget that American Sniper did a staggering $300M+ domestically but not so much internationally.

Hell if Deadpool has an overall gross of $700M then every studio making cbm are going to start considering R rated.

That's more than any X-Men film. Fox should put more focus on this character from now on.
