Jeremy Piven is overrated (not as overrated as Entourage itself though) and also considerably dwarfy, for Deadpool anyway.

With Deadpool is has to be more about the voice and the atitude then the body. Sure, at 1,75 m Piven ain't exactly tall but Deadpool's main weapons are stealth and agility anyway.
I don't watch Entourage but I love piven in everything else he has done, starting with Cupid. That's where I really fell in love with him.

he's a rubbish actor, I enjoy him in his movies because he always plays the same character, but he can't act out of a wet paper bag...let's get an actor with some decent chops

Jason Statham - horrible choice. His american accent sounds like crap. He isn't zany, he's deadpan at best. However, if they'd do a different, slightly more serios, BRITISH version of Deadpool I think he'd be good.

Ryan Reynolds - Goyer has his eye on him for Flash.

Jeremy Piven - For me. JP = DP. Now, while he's still in his early 40's.

I have to say I really like Baldwin. He hasn't had a great role since Full Metal Jacket or X-Files. He's funny, but big, physical, and a bit scary, alot like Deadpool.
