Deadpool Deadpool News and Discussion - Part 4

Deadpool 1 was a cheap project for 20th Century Fox. Cheap meaning, they didn't pour in a lot of money for it unlike most blockbusters. So not surprised. That studio, even with the X-Men, was always finding ways to save budget.

Not very surprising, but that's also how they were able to get the movie made. Plus, Tim Miller was a first-time rookie director with absolutely no directing experience, not even low-budget indies.

Yes. Tim Miller was a nobody. Just one of the many times in which the newbie creative gets a low salary, with the studio/distributor getting the most money when the final product becomes a huge success.

I would be curious if Tim Miller ends up directing another Marvel film someday.

Unfortunately for Miller, Terminator Dark Fate really put him in theatrical director jail.

I don't think the direction was one of Dark Fate's problems. Judging from both Deadpool and Dark Fate, he's a good director. It looks like a no-brainer now, but that Deadpool movie was a tricky, tricky one. He did a great job as a first directorial effort.

Terminator in the movies, should have been retired after the 3rd film.
