Definitely though Voices could be a new renaissance for him, just by watching the trailers. Definitely want to see it soon.

After the Barakapool fiasco, sure feels great to receive such a faithful representation of the costume.

I need to see it in a couple more angles but I might even say "too faithful". He looks a bit cosplay-ish in a certain way but it might be the pose. I expected something more busy with more practical mercenary equipment like belt straps, ammo and pratical pouches.

Like what they did with the Captain America WWII suit:

It just looks a bit too clean for my tastes is all I'm saying but then again it's a clean version of the suit that he's wearing indoors by the fireside so they're definitely going to grind and grunge it up when on the battlefield, I'm sure :) I'm curious of the eye part is animatronics enhanced :D

I've seen it twice now, fantastic film. And Ryan Reynolds is amazing in it, he definitely deserves a career resurgence off the back of it.

I agree with Michael, it does look good but when I first saw it I thought it was one of the dozens of cosplay Deadpool suits I've seen over the years. Granted this looks better than all of those aforementioned amateur efforts, but it does remind me of them. It'll look much better in the final film I'm sure.

...Off the top of my head, the only CBM superhero outfits that can compete with this one are Spider-Man and Iron Man.

Its the most faithful superhero outfit to date! Wow Fox!

Love the costume, the logo and I followed its official Twitter account and liked its Instagram/Facebook page!

The film costume is a direct lift from the comics, so it's probably more accurate to say that the cosplays look like this than this looks like the cosplays.

And to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the reasons for such absolute comics faithfulness in this film costume is because Deadpool has become by far the most cosplayed comic book character at comic conventions. He's got a distinct look that has clearly connected with people, and carrying that costume over to film is an easy promotional boost. I could definitely see some marketing for this film built around encouraging as many people as possible to go to opening night dressed as Deadpool.

MORE POUCHES!!!! Lets Liefield this suit up!!!! (Wonder if Reynolds is up for having his feet cut off...)

Imagine if They pull a sony and have Reynolds in costume and character at SDDC.

Reeves Superman too.

It's not about accurateness that we're "complaining" about (and mind you, it's not really a complaint), it's about the materials and pattern chosen for the suit. It looks a bit, errr, homemade?

Agreed.

It's funny how Deadpool seems to have had one of the worst and best translations when it comes to costumes. And it's weird that this is happening in an X-Men-related film

If you look closely it's actually a lot more textured than a plain spandex onesie. It seems the legs and arms are a stretchy, spandex, material, but it seems like there is a thicker, more leathery material making up the chest, and there is texture and layering to the kneepads and boots. Though, after fans niggling over how Spider-Man's costumes look too professional for him to have sewn himself at home, maybe they wanted to go for a more "homemade" effect?

Yeah Hello Kitty's fan I guess.

It looks great to me, so no complains for me as of the moment.

I can't wait to see Copycat's costume!

In that rumored plot synopsis, we learn that "Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life." Given the supposed meta stylings of the film, I wonder if that man will be Tom Rothman? :woot:

A Deadpool movie always sounded like a sure-fire flop to me in the vein of X-Men Origins Wolverine or Green Lantern. I just doubted anyone would ever care enough to get him right. With Reynold's enthusiasm (he's been desperate to do this for years, iirc), the clip we saw, and how unexpectedly accurate the suit is, I'm starting to get the feeling we just might have a fun time come 2016.

I think in this case it's the reverse - it should look like professional mercenary gear.

The red part looks like this material:

Michael Frost, again, said it better than I could:

I didn't believe that was the official suit until I saw Reynolds was the one that tweeted it out.
But hey, it's a nitpick at best, I didn't like the Cap TFA costume when I first saw it but it's gone on to be one of my favorites. Good for Fox, it's surprisingly accurate.

Nope. I don't think so.
