Wow, I made 2 teasers in one day!

I tried to make it more Deadpool-ish.

I like it except the bit about "the hero" (Deadpool isn't really a "hero" in the traditional sense) and that it's all Wade without his mask, but there aren't really many ways to work around that now.

That is the most awesome ******* s*** I have ever seen. But still, :csad: at fakeness.

That song's awesome, I was never a big Nickelback guy but that's probably the best thing I've heard from them. Not a big music guy so don't flame me if there is better stuff out there.

Why would we flame you for saying you LIKE the song?
Don't worry buddy, we all agree with you there.

Yea, this is a safe place... Kinda.

Ill be honest with the video:

I've replayed 0:58-1:14 about twelve times.

ive watch it like 30 times at least. Its just a box of yay

I watched it once and that was enough. It's a well done fan trailer, but it's not that great.

Yeah, but the ending song is epic. It is basically Deadpool's whole personality, in one song.

I think Dexter (TV Show) could be a good influence to the Deadpool movie... not much just little things. Some of the comedic humour Dexter has i see Deadpool using.

What happened to all of you in your childhood that would force you to like Nickleback? Nickleback is the in-joke of rock music.

What are folks' opinions on how much of the spin-off will be faithful to that which was seen in the Wolverine?

I get the impression that most of the DP fans in here would rather that the stuff that happened in Wolverine be forgotten about and the franchise begins anew. Kinda like, a reboot.

That would appease the fans but wouldn't it confuse the greater movie going public? A lot might depend to what extent First Class serves as a reboot or a prequel I suppose. If First Class is a reboot, then in theory you could attach the new Deadpool fim into that timeline. Thoughts?

Anyways I've written up a list of Pros and Cons to being faithful to the Wolverine Wade.

Pros
1. Ryan Reynolds (sorta a given, but hey!)
2. Greater movie going public don't get confused
3. We have already established he is unkillable
4. Experiment gone bad by Weapon X programme already established
5. Entire past history prior to Weapon X open for this film
6. Potential for cameos from entire existing X-men film cast (anybody really, Wolverine, Beast, Angel, Magneto, Sabertooth etc)

Cons
1. Nobody likes Baraka-pool design
2. Will have to lose most of the Weapon XI powers somehow which will seem contrived
3. Any flashbacks will have to be faithful to that what has already been established (era of Weapon X, ex-gf wedding)
I don't think it has to entirely ignore the Wolverine film, but it definitely has to ignore the X-Men film Universe. I think I posted this somewhere else, but the way I envisaged the film's opening was kicking right off from a point at the end of Wolverine.

Camera pans across the wreckage of the power plant for opening credits, then Deadpool's severed head falls into shot. From here, Wade grows back his body in its entirety from just a head - then the sceenwriters can take it from there.

I think it'd be useful to use the backstory given in Wolverine so that they don't have to delve into an origin story...but I'd love to see them tie in Annual 97 with Death; I think that's the most emotive Deadpool story around if they want to add a dimension on top of the killing and insanity.

And that it makes Deadpool ABSOLUTELY immortal, one of his key powers.

I think the best way to tacklet the origin of deadpool is to simply not explain it...Sure have cut backs to wade when he was normal looking. If mentioned, his transformation could be spoked about but because you dont really want him to mention wolverine movie. and his comical nature its probably better to skip foward a few years, Deadpool has found his own way, he has a new design... you have a sidekick weasly who sort of informs you throughout deadpools past. before the inccident, but nothing mentioned as to how he became like that.
