I can't even begin to describe it. Archer is a secret agent and hijinx ensue. I highly recommend heading over to Hulu and watching all the episodes they have on there. Soooo funny. I wouldn't really compare it to Deadpool though.

I thought it was gonna be the dumbest show but I checked it out once. and Idk man, he says some stuff that I would only expect to come out of deadpool's mouth. Definitely doesn't have the depth of Deadpool but it does remind me of Deadpool when I watch it. The back and forth with his mother reminds of Wade and Blind Al a lot!

Thanks for the Archer tip... It's effin' hilarious!

I wonder...if their aiming for a fan-based audience, it won't draw too many of the GA...maybe it'll be DTV?

Just saying. Not that it would be bad, just a better marketing idea.

If Reynolds stars in it, then chances are it won't be DTV.

Yeah boondock saints, donnie darko, and just so many more cult films that went to theater.

You really think Fox is going to make a cult super hero film, especially one based on a character who's quickly becoming one of Marvel's biggest characters?

the biggest cult film that comes to mind is the crow

My sister's watching Archer right now, and I just saw four seconds of it and I already agree its awesome for Deadpool.

I never got the love affair with Boba Fett. He looks like a badass... great. Was he a bad ass in the movies? Hell no... basically died 2 seconds into Jedi. I hope the TV shows do some justice, but with Lucas scripting, don't bank on it. At least for the first season.

Im assuming the deadpool spinoff will be in the tone of X-men Origins Woverine...

Oh, has a release date came out yet?

Why would it be in the tone of Wolverine? Deadpools completely different to Wolverine. I'd expect it to be more like Zombieland, with narration, surreal visuals and snappy humour.

And na it ain't got a release date yet, the script isn't finished yet. Which is a good thing i think. There is nothing worse than having a release date forced upon script writers and them made to rush it. From all indications it seems the script will be done later this year. So filming might start early next year.

Hmm.. yea you're most probably right... but we wont know until the trailer...

For now, we have Kick-Ass, the so-called "Zombieland of Superhero movies". Wonder how well this movie will turn out

Heh yea Kick Ass might have beaten Deadpool to the punch. It does look friggin sweet though.

Time will tell about Deadpool.

Except Deadpool has the whole 4th wall breaking and tragic aspect to him that we don't get in Kick Ass.

Kick Ass still looks awesome in it's own right and seems to be the movie with Nicholas Cage that I want to actually see.

What would be perfect is if Millar got tagged in directing with Deadpool. With his vision and style plus Zombieland writers plus Ryan Reynolds we'd be getting one hell of an epic and true to the character flick.

Yea... the breaking fouth wall element will be the selling point.... and the way to go for this movie...

Maybe he talks about his appearance in Wolverine lol

Ditto for Darth Maul. Just keep hearing how badass he was but he got punked pretty quick

I honestly do not expect much 4th wall breaking. Its never as distinct as people make it out to be. Everyonce in awhile he'll mention being collected in a TPB or mention of Act 3 for example. He almost never turns to the reader and addresses them outside of a recap page.

Yea, Lucas has a way with making the cool characters die off and let annoying characters live on, Jar Jar being one of them.
