i posted a while back that I'd like to see a Deadpool film in the style of Wanted. However somebody said that they'd hate to see a heavily stylised Deadpool movie.

But don't Rofriguez's movies have a certain stlylized look to them?

In terms of his editing style yea. That's one of his strong points though for me. Really unique.

And going back to his older films like Desperado the shoot outs were pretty stylish. He was one of the first western directors to bring "gun ballet" over from Hong Kong.

That is why he'd be perfect for Deadpool i think. The film needs to have a really unique look and feel. It needs to go from gritty and grounded... to insane and surreal at the drop of a hat. Rodriguez could pull that off perfectly.

The Johnny Depp shootout scene in "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" sells me on Rodriguez's ability to bring Deadpool to life. The whole movie does that, really, but that one scene just solidifies that idea the best.

The now-frequent overuse, yes. But done correctly, with the right medium, it works well. GL could work with 3D due to how his powers manifest, and Deadpool because of his tendency to break the 4th wall. 3D would be a fantastic way to explore that.

I agree with that, I hate 3D, but Deadpool would be amazing fun in 3D if done right.

The writers are working on Zombieland 2 ib 3D, so it's a safe bet Deadpool is, too.
