Sequels Deadpool Spin-off Confirmed

With Wolverine, it was way, way waaaaay too late in production to change really anything but the effects. When scripts are leaked, often times they change, not the entire plot, but significantly enough. For example, after GL was leaked, we eventually learned that Salakk would be in it, whereas in the original script he had absolutely no appearance. Since this change was made BEFORE filming, the fact that the script is changed during filming is insignificant, but larger changes are made pre-production.

You seem to think that the fact that something getting leaked equals it getting changed which does not. The two aren't that related.

If you have a golden script and everybody loves it, would you change it for change's sake just because some people already read it? I wouldn't. Their fault if they wanted to spoil themselves.

First drafts get changed, sure, but not because of leaks. If anything, the reaction and feedback we fans would give on a leaked draft would actually help the writers.

I heard Ryan goes here once in a while, what's stopping the two writers from doing so too? :oldrazz:

True point.

Still bouncing ideas in my head...I'm sticking with the idea that his regenerative abilities allow him to see the audience. I just need to figure a way to write it out without sounding forced or stupid.

I just remembered, Deadpool DOES have a producer on it. Lauren Donner.

So it's just cast and director then.

Also, it turns out Reese and Werrick are writing the sequel to GI Joe.

Which is absolutely AWESOME!

So it looks like Werrick and Reese are writing 3 comic book film movies at once: GI Joe 2, the Venom spinoff, and Deadpool. Not to mention that they are discussing ideas for Zombieland 2.

Multi-Tasking epic win, in my opinion.

The Venom movie is dead. They won't bother making it if they are rebooting Spidey. It's safe to assume Eddie Brock will have a role to play in the new movies though.

Wouldn't that mean it would make MORE sense to do a Venom movie? They weren't going to use Grace in the spinoff, and he died in SM3 anyway. The reboot, in a way, makes it more likely a spinoff would happen, it just wouldn't be of Raimi's Venom. It gives them a chance to start over with the character.

Why would they do a Venom movie before the new Spidey movies? The Venom movie project is dead. They might have another go once the new Spidey movies are out, a few years down the line.

I'm saying that the Venom movie would have been a reboot of his character, like how Deadpool is a reboot of his. So now a Venom movie would make more sense now with the SM reboot because they might not kill off Brock in the reboot, leaving him free for his own movie.

Yea but it won't be for a long time. And it won't be the script that Reese and Wernick wrote.

I bet Sony are not even thinking about Venom at this point.

Yeah, I guess you're right.

Still, that's 3 films at once. Quite a load, even for two people.

Yea it's a lot of work. But i suppose too much work is better than no work right?

Right, provided that you know how to handle the pressure and can deliver good quality material on all fronts.

It's better to have one quality material than three crappy works, right?

Well yea, but i'm not too worried about the quality of the Deadpool script. Seeing as they are fans of the character and they collaborate with Reynolds. Plus they have already proved with Zombieland that they can write the right sorta style for Deadpool.

I want Bill Murray in Deadpool...!

cameo role, maybe one of Deadpools first victums. That would be hilarious, even more so, make it Bill Murray... he could make a thing of it, In Zombieland he dies, in Ghostbusters 3 he wants his character to die pretty early on.

Could you imagin Wade Wilson hunting down Bill Murray... that would just set the tone for the whole movie.

*After shooting Bill* "That's for Ghostbusters 2!"

Zombieland already brought that movie up. It will sound like *****ing if everytime Bill Murray does a cameo he complains or people mention Garfield.

ive been thinking about that.... would Venom in the venom movie be the Sm3 version, or a whole new version?

Or will this movie even be made at all?

Sure but it would paint Murray as a persona non grata. It's not cool to bite the hand of whoever feeded you.

Deadpool shout throw a bucket with goo over him as he hunts Murray. Then he shouts "Ahhh, I've been slimed!" Then Deadpool says "I just wanted to hear you say that again before I snuff you."
