With the unfornuate news that supposedly Raimi and Maguire are returning I am expecting the movie to suck, but for the sake of hope, maybe Raimi can pull redemption out of his arse.

In order for SM4 to not suck, Raimi, for the love God, please

- Don't make Peter a whiny ***** over and over. ENOUGH. We've all seen that Maguire screen test where he looked like he had a pair, give us that Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Enough is enough.

-Don't topple us with cheesy acting or cheesy lines, please don't insult our intelligence! Realstic acting realstic consequences!!!

-Don't use Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane for too long or use her to be saved at the end. THINK OF SOMETHING ELSE.

-And finally.... DO GIVE US A KICK ASS MOVIE THAT WILL KICK DARK KNIGHT's ASS. That's your goal, your sole goal!!!!

- Keep Spidey's mask on so that not everyone and their mother will see his face. This goes for villains too.

- Speaking of villains, unless they had an established personal relationship with Peter in the comics, DO NOT give them one in the movies (i.e. Sandman).

-And again on the subject of villains lol, its alright to humanize them to a certain extent, but not to the point that need redemption (i.e. Doc Ock). Plus there are some villains that we just wanna love to hate.

- Make Peter more confident and smart alecky (especially when hes Spidey).

- Already mentioned not to use Dunst? Hmm well another mention wont hurt. Do not cast Kirsten Dunst again. Get a recast for her.

Keep it going people keep it going Raimi has to hear this or some light bulb has to spark in his read because of it or else I'm not getting excited for this, I simply can't.

His love for insulting our intelligence sickens and has to be stopped.

Good suggesstions Venom 1988

Are you insane?

A few unpopular choices in SM3 and now Raimi is the anti-christ?

Do people not remember SM1 and SM2, two of the most critically acclaimed comic book films by both audiences and critics alike?

SM3 is unpopular amongst fans due to fact that the studio shoved ideas into the picture. True, Raimi is known for his over-the-top style (i.e. dance numbers) but the way people talk is like SM3 was equivalent to B&R.

Sam Raimi didn't write the script so half of these suggestions are idiotic.

The woman of his dreams was slipping away from him and his best friend died saving his life.

Are those not reasons to cry?

Well... there can be some crying... although there has to be more superheroing than crying. :cmad:
Emo Parker and SR's Superman need to team up and go cut their wrists at their ultimate pitty party.

:hehe:

Really... Batman does sad great. He goes out and stomps criminals.

TDK spoiler: Bruce shedded a few tears over [BLACKOUT]Rachael's death[/BLACKOUT].
Peter completely lost it when MJ dumped him.

I just noticed that, myself.

Venom, like I said... Batman does sad right... he then goes out and kicks the crap out of people. Aka Maroni and his thugs...

I'm still laughing over this post :woot:

Venom x the difference between batman and peter parker is huge :

Bruce Wayne is a billionaire good looking has fancy cars and jets can get any women he wants and is a charming guy not to mention he is tall and jacked

peter parker is a nerd wears glasses very small and skinny lucky to have 1 girlfriend in mj to begin with

Raimi, just pour your heart and determination for this film. Thats all I want.

I agree 100%. Sure, the films aren't completely true to the comics, but that's what makes them good, we get something new and interesting. If it were based on the comic word for word, panel for panel, then it'd just be boring.

If the everyone backed off for SM3, it would've been great. But no, this could've been the last Spidey movie, so everyone wanted everything in it. For God's sake everyone, the mere fact that there may be back-to-back Spidey movies means there's plenty of room to it plenty of stuff in. Raimi's the film-maker here, he's the one with the pressure. Nobody has the right to hound on what he's done wrong until they've been in his position.

Once again, just cool off!

Raimi, you can do it. :)

a) keep the frigging mask on
pete (to mj) - 'my enemies must never know about you that's why we can never be'
here's a subtle hint pete taking your mask off in front of doc ock 'might' have given him a clue who you are and thus who you dating. JEEZ!! :whatever:

b) make him wisecrack
sam know the fans want it, the studio know the fans want it, arad know the fans want it. give it to us already, no iteration of spidey is truly spidey unless he wise cracks.

c) enough with the love story
yes pete loves mj WE GET IT, move on and show us something new, something exciting that isn't bogged down by romance and love, think about who you are making this movie for, it isn't for 12 year old girls.
TDK have practically no romance and is the number domestic movie of all time.

d) the villian doesn't HAVE to be connected to the hero
the fact doc ock was a mentor to peter worked, but if there is no connection don't force one. joker had no connection to batman whatsoever and no origin for that matter, if the character is good no one will care. sandman turning out to be uncle ben's killer to make a tenuous (at best) connection to the hero was the worst thing about SM3 even worse that the dancing.

e) have a maximum of two villians
there is enough support cast and peter and mj (if she returns) to fill a movie so to give time to properly flesh out the villian so he doesn't come across as two demensional and tacked on give the villians some sreen time, one is best, two is pushing it three was just asking for trouble unless the third villian is cannon fodder (shocker etc)

f) explore his genius
I bet the people who watched the spider-man movies and are not familar with the comics think he is smart but no more that that. spidey is a genius SHOW the public how gifted he is, that if he never got powers he would have gone to to win the nobel prize.

g) explore his powers
he can stick to walls in and out of costume, can lift 10 tonnes, can sense danger (all but ignored in the third movie), all we are treated to is web swinging web swinging and more web swinging. show the public what spidey can REALLY do.

perfect example spidey puts on the back costume that enchances all his powers what does he do? swing throughthe city andthen say 'this is something else'. bet yoiu joe bloggs on the street didn't even realise powers powers had been enhanced.

h) he doesn't have to save mj at the end of EVERY movie
there are other climaxes to explore other ending that will satisfy the public. jeez, that is getting really old now.

i) ditch the cheese
there is nothing wrong with inserting humour but too much turns the movie in a cheese fest with actors camping it up. it lessons the impact of the hero. it doesn't have to be dark or overly serious but don't turn it in comedy because people usually end up laughing for the wrong reasons (pete's crying at the end).
