Deathstroke: Is he in Justice League? If so, who is playing him?

Maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but it sure as hell looks like Deathstroke will be appearing in Justice League, based off the video Ben Affleck just posted on his Twitter feed. And if so, then my interest in this movie just went through the roof. Been hoping to see Slade in a movie for a long time.

What do you think? Is this from JL? And if so, who is that beneath the mask? It may very well just be a stuntman, but given that they zoom in on his eye, I'm think this might be a real actor.

How cool would this be as a end of credits scene for Ben's stand alone film? Could explain why he showed it seeing that they don't want to follow Marvels lead with post credits scenes but the fans keep demanding them ... Just a thought.

Perhaps. But I feel like this is a bit too early to reveal a post credits scene. Those are (typically) meant to be a surprise, though I think a few of the Marvel ones have been released early. But even so, I doubt he would leak it THIS early. My hope is that he's featured in JL, and featured heavily. I really don't give a crap about Steppenwolf AT ALL, but Deathstroke? Oh hell yeah. I know I'll see the film either way, but this would make me STOKED to see it.

It's test footage but it's probably for the Batman solo. Whoever is behind the mask is part of the JL crew though.

Last we heard, Ben hadn't even fully fleshed out the story for The Batman. Pre-production for that movie will probably start sometime in 2017.

It is early but it's one shot. It's not as though he would be doing numerous test shot's now.

Not really. These types of preproduction items start if elements of the script are not likely to change through the subsequent drafts. Even sets start getting built before the final draft gets turned in. Another possibility is a proof-of-concept for Deathstroke.

Yeah. That's why I think this has to be from JL. Everything about that solo film still seems to be up in the air. I'm not saying that it won't happen, just that they seem to be in the very, very early stages.

I doubt it's for the Batman solo when they haven't even done a script yet. I think it's test footage for a cameo in Justice League. I honestly think he's in JL.

As for whose playing him I have no idea, but I think Joe Mangniello would be a good choice.

Yeah, I mean, maybe they could turn Steppenwolf into a worthy villain, I don't know. But Deathstroke IS a great character and there's a wealth of material they can pull from to make him truly memorable.

I think he's in JL. If they were doing test footage for the solo this early they would just use one of the Arrow Deathstroke suits and not build a completely new one.

Whether spoiler or not, it does look to have generated some positive hype for Justice League. And really, with Comic-Con over and the hype over the Wonder Woman and JL trailers died down, the DCEU could go with some positive buzz, particularly if it's by way of Affleck.
