Days of Future Past Deleted Scenes Thread

Rike, could you maybe copy and paste or type up the entire Rogue scene from the script pretty please :) from the part Kitty gets injured to when they bring Rogue back etc?

And spoil the whole sequence? Nope. :oldrazz:

It's too damn many pages. If you want to know anything specific, you can ask me.

Come on buddy! haha. I will just have to look deeper for it. I see how a few more people on twitter have got ahold of the early script. So maybe it has started making the rounds more online.

More Rogue tho Please!!! haha.

Do any more mutants other than Bobby, Magneto and Xavier seem to get any more screen time in that scene like maybe Xavier telling Storm or Bishop to stay on guard or something when their gone etc?

Does Storm have any more to say/do in the script you saw? More power displays? More dialogue?

What about Bishop? Is he a bit more fleshed out?

She no longer had the white streak in her hair in the altered future.

Storm and Bishop were inside the temple with them the whole time. They stayed with Kitty when they went to rescue Rogue.

What is this script that you're all talking about! :(

I want a copy of it noooow. Lol.

Gosh, it kinda hurts to know these scenes and not see them in the theatres.

Storm takes care of Kitty when she gets stabbed by Wolverine. She is piloting the X-Jet when they get to the temple and she had more lines. She only created the same hurricane we saw in the movie and used some lighting against the Sentinels.

Bishop actually had more dialogue than Storm. LOL. They gave the majority of his lines about time travel to Kitty in the final movie.

That sounds awesome. :wow:

^Don't hold your breath. There was some cool stuff in the script, but the final movie is much better. I can see that Bryan wasn't around when Kinberg wrote this draft. :hehe:

^What are a couple of things in the script you didn't like?

^Whaaaat? Anything with the future mutants is better for me. Haha!

But may I ask why you think the final cut is better without these things? :D

Oh, okay, could have been good, I guess.

Well, that's probably because of his thick accent. It was bad enough when he just said 'Sunspot' and no one could understand him, lol... I want to see him in another movie though, and with a bit of coaching he could have clearer diction.

The final product was a lot more fleshed out. The best moments of the movie weren't in this script.

And this is coming from someone who didn't think there was enough future scenes in the movie.

Lame ass young Juggernaut, Havok dying, underwhelming fight scenes in the future and Apocaneto. No Quicksilver and no Magneto lifting up the stadium.

In what way was Juggernaut lame to you? and also how did Havok die?

Ooh, I didn't know that the changes would be that big.

Wait, are these going to be the ones included in the deleted scenes? The one with Rogue?

Sorry, I'm still trying to catch up with this whole conversation in this thread! :csad:

I wonder if this leaked draft was one written before Bryan Singer took over as director. We
know he had big hand in Dropping Juggernaut and bringing In Quicksilver.

I wonder if Stryker was in draft with Juggernaut at all.

Juggernaut annoyed me somehow and Havok was killed by a Sentinel in a flashback.

Was Juggernaut a goofy character in the script with bad dialogue or was his character more toned down?

If there was no stadium lifting what was the climax in the 70s like? Did Magneto still take control over the Sentinels just without caging in everybody?

Neither, he was just boring. He was no Quicksilver.

Mags striked the Capitol Building with the Washington Monument. :oldrazz: And yes.

Yeah, some of these sound pretty bad compared to the final product that we got (getting rid of Mystique's scene at the mansion is a smart decision in hindsight, or else we wouldn't have gotten Charles' struggling to use Cerebro vs Cerebro just flat out being sabotaged by Mystique. I guess it was sorta meant to be a callback to X1?)

Juggernaut being cut was good too. The film already had enough on Charles' development alone, I can't imagine how more crammed it would be if introduced his step-brother. Rike, was Juggy Charles's stepbrother in the early drafts of the script?

The Rogue scene sounds great but it also sounds like it would've been another can of worms had they left it in the film since they'd have to explain a lot more of the future, which would've been cool but also might take away from the flow of the film as a whole.
