Not to be an arse....but hell, I'll be an arse.

You vets are taking Blind_Fury's side just because he's been here longer then us. That guy is a lunatic that makes no sense...at all.

Oh I don't care if you got the upper hand, or a hand of kings and aces in a poker game. You just wont let go, does it really matter? This is the net! Oh the wailing and gnashing of teeth begins.

Sigh.

Well if I may give my opinion on this scene, I shall.

To me, it sounds incredibly exciting - spinning cars, crashing cars, Sandman actually driving the truck with the weight of his sand, Spidey surfing along the road on a car door, and this is all just the "great escape" - the bank robbery could be a seperate scene.

Although I'm hoping that no fight actually takes place inside a bank, not because it wouldn't be good, but because it will detract from the usual arguments that Raimi is repeating himself, and is copying the bank fight from S-M 2.

These scenes will fly by on screen - Spidey surfing along the road will probably last no more than 10 seconds, like the scene in Spider-Man 2, which I might add, is a favourite of mine - it shows the grace and strength of the hero all in a short space of time and the little touches like Spider-Man's reflections in the car door all add to what is a extravaganza of CGI.

This is the first scene that we can actually piece together, bit by bit, in our minds, and I'm enjoying the picture and scene description coverage that's coming in, may it continue.

Yeah but the guy is arguing something that can't be argued. That's why we are getting so pissed.

And anyway, no matter how hard you deny it, this place is filled with little cliques that like to stick together. If one would argue that Raimi made Spider-Man green you'd agree with him.

You mean, like The NWO? Holy 90's Batman!

:D

The sad part is that I agree with the Hivemind that is prevalent here most of the time.

But this is crossing a line I can't go over. Now let's keep that out of this thread and let the flaming begin on the spider sense thread.

Sounds cool...the mental image i got from it was the car door flipping and spidey uses his feet to catch it, clinging to it with his wall-crawling powers. Awesome.

Thanks for the heads up

The video's pretty cool. Though I was hoping for a glimpse of Sandman at the wheel. Loved the crash.

that was cool, slag, like a car crash but for a movie. I want to see someone add that to a fan trailer with spidey swinging through. I'd do it but I'm not good at it, it'd look stoopid.

From the main page, a new scoop:

"I decided to check out the Spider-Man action on Euclid today, and we saw much of the same armored car street scene stuff that's been thoroughly described on the Hype. We left the crowd and decided to walk down to see the rest of the Euclid Avenue redo, and right near the intersection of Ontario another armored car moves into position. A Sandman stunt double quickly jumps on top of it and starts pounding on the roof in slow motion. Then a guy in white covered bathrobe comes out of a white van drops the robe and it's the wallcrawler. He climbs on the armored car and does a few slow motion punches against the Sandman double. It lasted all of two minutes.

All I can figure is that it must have been a lighting test for the CGI so that it would match. The Sandman stunt double, dressed in the same garb as the promo pics, looked more like Flint Marko than Church. I was like twenty feet away without a stinkin' camera. Ah well, it was pretty kickin' for a lunch break."

That's my post by the way, and I swear it's true. There was actually an older lady taking a picture right next to me. FRIG! - I should have mugged her. There really weren't too many people around. I probably would have gotten away with it.

1) It was not even that cool for a car crash IMO...
and more importantly

2) I'd rather have the effect be due to a superpowered hero or foe causing the crash by throwing/ripping/shredding/etc. the car... as opposed to *gasp*... "driving it"?

What is this... Spider-Man 3 or Driving Miss Daisy????

You gotta wait for trailers to see stuff like that, and they're not going show throwing/ripping/shredding damage by the villains, in a few seconds of on the set filming.
