So of course, I sprung into action wasting a ton of money making this comedy abomination. Now nobody else has a lit agent. Coincidence? Yes."

Right. If you're an adult that didn't grow up with Pokemon or has kids that want to see it, odds are you're not going to care about this movie. It doesn't have the same mass appeal as Avengers: Endgame or Lion King. It'll be successful no doubt, but a billion isn't guaranteed.

Endgame domination might have something to do with the lower than expected tracking IMO. I am sure this is going to open well over $50M, but $1B might not be as easy as we think no matter how well it does in most of the Asian markets. I do believe it can get there though, especially if it ends up being good.

Not even the Japanese Pokemon-movies are doing that kind of crazy numbers in Japan. And the Japanese can be very indifferent toward American versions of Japanese properties. Alita performed badly and the last Godzilla-movie did okay but nothing more.
