True. Though if this does end up being true then more people would've come to this post-Detective Pikachu as opposed to before. Having seen the trailer and possibly the movie, I think people have warmed up to live action Pokemon.

I think that we are going for the game story rather than the anime with the OG game protagonist Red like in Pokèmon: Origins.

Wow That is fantastic casting!!! She totally fits the bill. I’ve seen her on Riverdale and she could totally do this!

A red/blue movie? Not sure why they just don’t get the kid from Detective Pikachu to realize he still wants to be a trainer and let the next film be about them getting badges/dealing with Team Rocket.
