Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

I've been playing HR for the last few months, restarting it and going for different options and such, is the DC worth picking up? I know it's a pretty good price right now and I've probably played through the vanilla game like 11 times.
It's worth buying if you want to hear developer commentaries and try out additions to boss battles, which are, IMO, quite cheap. Graphics is worse and bugs aren't fixed. I'm talking about Steam version. Have no idea about Wii U.

The Wii U version of the DC is good, it was done well there as well as the other consoles . the pc side suffered with certain people how ever.

This is one of the most embarrassing schemes of all time.

They should be ashamed of themselves for this absolutely asinine pre-order scheme.

This sort of thing has been done for at least a couple of years now on Steam. It doesn't mean it's not dumb, but you're kind of late to the party with your faux outrage on this one.

New gameplay videos of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided have surfaced showcasing some of the upcoming sequel’s new mechanics.
Showcased in the videos include:

 • New cover system – You can now aim at a cover object and automatically run to it (and take cover).

 • New energy system – Energy now automatically refills. Although there are some augmentations that have a non-regenerating activation cost, which lowers the maximum amount of energy available to you. This is reset when you use a “Biocell.”

 • Icarus Dash – The new Icarus Dash can be used offensively as an “Icarus Strike” to take out enemies, but it can also be used to dash across quickly or finding alternate routes.

 • Remote hacking – The main hacking game is similar to its predecessor, although a lot nicer looking. But you can now hack remotely.

 • Charged weapons – Several weapons can now be charged to get secondary effects and cause much more damage.

 • Weapon modifications – Adam can modify his weapons in real time.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 23.

This game is so beautiful I want to kiss someone. Is this UE4? It's not true Deus Ex unless it brings an Unreal Engine to it's knees.

Reports saying the game is now delayed until August 2016.

It is. There's a statement on the official site. But it definitely looked like it needs a delay. Starting with writing "alpha footage - the game is still in development" 4 months before the release.

I don't mind another delay. If it's to make the game a worthy successor of Human Revolution then I'm all for it. As a fan of the original Deus Ex, I really enjoyed HR (over 60 hours in my first playthrough).

Yep. Delay is always better than half-finished, unbalanced or bug-ridden game on release. We still have plenty to play next spring. For me it's Blood and Wine of Witcher 3, Dark Souls 3, Street Fighter V, maybe Rise of Tomb Rider.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided release date pushed back, Jensen makes the interweb cry

Here’s a statement from head of studio David Anfossi, where he discusses the reason for the pesky postponement:
"As you may have already seen by reading and watching the many previews for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, our aim is for it to be a worthy successor to Human Revolution, and to improve upon that game in every way possible. I know that expectations are extremely high, and we not only want to meet those expectations, but exceed them."

"We're confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards. In order to achieve this, we need to move the release of the game to August 23rd, 2016."

"We are sorry to disappoint you with this news, and also thank you for all of your support and comments. This game is a huge part of our lives, and we don't want to compromise on its quality."
"So please be patient with us a little longer, and thanks as always for your passion and support - through thick and thin. It's a huge responsibility to work on Deus Ex Mankind Divided - we know, but also a huge privilege. We're determined to deliver the best game we can."

I have to say, the news has left me pretty bummed. Human Revolution is one of my favourite games of the past five years - Jensen’s lead-throated delivery turns my knees to absolute mush. February is usually pretty lean in terms of new releases, so it’s a shame we won’t have Adam's robo hands to warm us through those cold, augmented nights.

Here’s hoping Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is polished to an insane degree when it releases next August. Now excuse me while I slip off to daydream about Jensen’s velvety larynx.

Two Disc Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut Will Be Xbox One Backwards Compatible In 2016. December 22, 2015 . 9:00am

The Xbox 360′s single disc Deus Ex: Human Revolution is backwards compatible with the Xbox One,
and the multi disc Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut will be compatible next year.

The Xbox One is currently backwards compatible with select Xbox 360 games. This means a person could redownload or place a Xbox 360 disc into a Xbox One to play the game on the system. However, the current limitations means only single disc games can be played. However, the official Twitter account for the Deus Ex serieshas confirmed that the two disc Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut will be supported in early 2016.

The forthcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut compatibility was revealed following the December 17 addition of the original Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s addition to the backwards compatibility catalog. It is a single disc game, but the Director’s Cut is two discs due to the inclusion of the Missing Link DLC. Other content, like a New Game+, reworked bosses, documentary, and Eidos Montreal commentary were also added in this release. The Xbox team reportedly said the two disc game will be compatible in 2016.

Other two disc Xbox 360 games include Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Magna Carta II, Metal gear Solid HD Collection, and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. A current list of Xbox 360 games playable on the Xbox One is available through Microsoft.
