She burned her sculpture and her studio to keep Dexter's focus on her rather than on Rita and the kids. Also gives her an excuse to move in with Dexter and continue to make sure he's not focusing on Rita or the kids. She's just batsh1t crazy.

I re-neg my earlier theory about Lila. She's completely ****ing crazy.

And Dexter couldnt possibly let Doakes take the fall, unless Doakes crosses a line (a line more serious then home invasion).

i dont think doakes told them it was Dexters slides...i think he sent it in anonymously, doakes wants dexter for himself...thats why hes getting blood slides analyzed from his friend. i think lundy and matthews bring dex in just to analyze the slides for them.

I think you're right, hobgob. Lundy wants Dexter to provide blood analysis on the slides and Doakes wants to see what he'll do with it all. I still think Doakes is going to take the rap for this. When he walked out on Lundy in the middle of that conversation last night, I could only think that it made him appear very suspicious to Lundy. Next week is going to be an intense episode.

i dont know about doakes taking the fall for the BHB....it seems to obvious right now, im expecting a big twist in episodes 11 and 12.

They KNOW that the BHB is involved in law enforcement somehow, in the very department Dexter and Doakes work in no less. It's going to come down to either Doakes or Dexter and at that point it will become about survival. Period.

Getting Lundy would do Dexter no good. There are plenty of other agents on the case and now his blood slides are out in the open. Lundy going away wouldn't change much for him at this point.

I don't think Doakes is going to leave him a choice. This whole season has been about Dexter questioning himself, Harry and The Code. There could come an epiphany for him that some people are just horribly damaging to other people without actually killing them, which is sometimes even worse. There's enough mystery about Doakes, too, that Dexter could very well discover some rather unsavory facts about the guy that would put him well within the limits of Harry's Code. And Doakes is a suspect thanks to the evidence discovered last night, and he's also on Lundy's radar for walking out on him like he did. Gonna be interesting to see how they play it all out and what happens in the end.

Well, there's no show if Dexter gets found out by anymore people, so Doakes is keeping all his secrets to himself at this point. I do agree, I think he sends in the slides ananomously just to watch Dexter squirm. He wants to humiliate him first, before he takes him down (which won't happen, 'cause like I said, there'd be no show, otherwise.). But like I said, Doakes suspicions about Dexter, up until now, had nothing to do with the BHB case. Once he puts two and two together, how is he really going to feel about what Dexter is doing?
