GOTHAM CITY SIRENS #2 $2.99 - maybe, what did people think of the first issue?

Personally I liked it. I heard a lot of negativity from reviews and posters at other sites. It's a fun, fairly light title, and I really like all three of the characters. People seemed to have a lot of issue with the art too, but I thought it was alright.

WEDNESDAY COMICS #3 (OF 12) $3.99 - more than likely. I have a feeling this is going to be something amazing, how have the first two been?

Only the first issue has been released and it was pretty good. It's kind of hard to see where it's all going, and the price is a little heavy too, but I enjoyed it enough that I plan to follow it

I'm totally stoked about Blackest Night so both Tales of the Corps and Green Lantern are welcomed.

The last issue of Captain Britain is here and I'm okay with that. I like the book but it's not one of my favorites so I'm okay with it ending. I just hope it ends well. I nearly dropped the book a few times but I'm glad I stayed. It ended up as a good tale and with Plotka and Megan in the last issue it really brings things full circle for most of the storylines and makes it feel like one full story (with some Skrulls in the beginning).

Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy are their last two War of Kings tie-ins if I'm not mistaken so that's something to look forward to. Always good.

And lastly, Project Superpowers. I Loved volume 1 and the three minis that came out of it were decent (Black Terror was just as good as the original mini). I've been looking forward to this one and the 0 issue was a great beginning for it for only $1.

 

[Dread]

The Skrulls were there because it launched in the middle of SECRET INVASION and hoped to appeal to readers with that while getting them to stick around for the rest. Such a tactic failed with HEROES FOR HIRE (which launched in the middle of CIVIL WAR/THE INITIATIVE), but the cool thing about comic book marketing strategies is that they are always mindlessly repeated, regardless of result. Sadly, sales for CAPTAIN BRITAIN faded fast, and here we are.

Still, 16 issues of material isn't terribly short by today's launch standards. THE ORDER and THE THING didn't last that long.

No offense to you, sir, but not for that price. If Marvel wants to know how far fans are willing to go $5 is too far for me. I don't care how many pages are inside. I'm not paying $5 for a comic book. Especially one that I'm still angry over due to OMD.
