That was during his time with X-Factor. The earlier years, where he and Lorna were happy together and he was leading X-Factor well. That's also the period that classic PAD issue with Doc Samson psychoanalyzing all of the X-Factor members comes from.

I wasn't reading X-Factor regularly at that point.

Well, Alex was pretty good then.

They had a kind of memorial follow-up to that Doc Samson issue in the current X-Factor series. Same premise, but with the current group.

Yeah, I read that. PAD's a genius with that group of characters.

The old X-Factor one was even better, in my opinion. The Quicksilver segment is one of my favorite scenes in comics. Really put how much of a dick Pietro was in perspective. Granted, he wasn't as much a dick then as he is now.

I don't remember that. Actually, I do remember him being pretty prominent and confident during the X-Cutioner's Song crossover. That was good.

That whole Shi'ar empire is all kinds of divided. Even if Vulcan lives and remains emperor, he's still pretty hated among his own people

Vulcan and the Shi'ar should be brutally murdered by Ultron and the Phalanx. I'd buy 5 copies.

Space needs at least one of its great empires to survive. I don't want the entire Marvel cosmos to be transformed into a bunch of wandering hobos.

I agree. That's why the Kree need to rebuild and restore their empire.

Ooh, they should tie Firelord's deal with the Centurions into the return of Xandar. Have Nova set up a new Xandarian homeworld and then have him run into Firelord while he's searching for new Nova Corps recruits. Firelord, having brutally murdered most of the bad Centurions by now and having had time to cool off, suggests the good Centurions, since they have their own powers and wouldn't drain the Nova Force from Rich. A new Nova Corps is formed with Rich and Firelord as co-leaders, the Worldmind as chief administrator, and the good Centurions as the first batch of recruits.

I suppose. But he was a Nova Corps officer back in the day and, as far as I know, he's remained loyal to Xandar and the Nova Corps. He just hasn't been an active officer.

Damn, I didn't know he was a Nova Corps officer. That makes it better. Make it so.
