For the record, in the file of, "Life Always Spites Dread", LOCKJAW AND THE PET AVENGERS has supposedly been doing better than I cynically expected. The first issue is getting reprinted so it likely saw a modest debut. And the NEW YORK POST Sunday Pet section had an article about it. We'll see how the last issue sells, but Obama's dog may help in that regard.

That is pretty damn crappy on Marvel's part. I have a fairly reliable shop who usually does very well with their pull lists, otherwise I would probably miss out. Well, on a 1st printing copy anyway.

Some shops may hold off on selling it until Wednesday for integrity, but that is likely 1% of them. But, yeah, the consensus from many retailers asked online was that it was a good idea, poorly executed. Which, of course, is so rare from Marvel.

Well, if it's any consolation, I'm probably as surprised as you are.

I'm interested in what the hard numbers will be for the debut once Diamond releases them. But, yeah, Marvel doesn't usually do second prints eagerly. I'd guess it debuted around the 40-50k range at least, around what THE ORDER debuted at (and OMEGA FLIGHT stayed at).

So what's supposed to be so big over Captain America 600? Is it just the numbering or is there something big in the plot? I don't typically buy the book but if it's something like Steve returning then I'd get it, but otherwise I don't really care.

Me neither. I assumed one 'big' thing that was going to happen was that female Bucky that came into the 616 through Ultimate Power (or whatever it was called) was going to be the new sidekick for Bucky America. Since we had those 'Girl without a world' ads in some books with her face (I think it was her anyway)

More importantly though, is the fact that Irredeemable Ant-Man is finally seeing a proper collection. I almost broke down and bought the crappy digests, but I figured that with him joining the initiative and then the Thunderbolts we'd get a real collection of the Kirkman series. Patience pays off!
