I don't know if a thread like this has been made before, so sorry if it has, but I just wanted to know what people think...

no, the tenticle arms powerd back up when they hit the river floor then then dragged doc ocks body out, now he lves in the bushes in central park

No because Sam Raimi said so:oldrazz:

I don't remember but Raimi said that Doc being alive was a possibility, and I also think Alfred Molina was signed to appear in a possible future sequel too.

D!

I think the way Doc Ock "died" the way he did is so that we would ask this question. We're to believe he's dead, but there is enough room for skepticism. As to whether or not if he'll come back in a future sequel, who knows. As of right now, no one is signed on except the producers.

^^^Except when said villain is speared by his own glider and buried for two whole movies. On the other hand, Marvel did it...

According to the "Ock-umentary" on the Spidey 2 disc, Doc Ock is not dead.

Well... The Green Goblin did sort of come back... just in a different form that only Harry could see.

in the commentary of sp2 rami was joking when he said ock could come back, and was making a remark at how surreal movie companies can be

so therefore i think ock is DEAD. If he were to come back, it wouldnt be the same character.

the lights flickered out on his tentacles which would seemingly suggest they were no longer working!!! he also didnt seem to be struggling to swim or breathe under the water so unless he was taking a nap im pretty sure he was dead!! so yes he is DEFINETLY dead!!!

there is no real indication to show whether he died or not so it is entirely up to the viewer.

however his 'I will not die a monster' line gave the impression he attempted to sacrifice himself in order to save the city, whether he achieved this or not remains to be shown and he could easily be seen as dead or away somewhere.

it all really depends on the writer/director and what they think/intended...

obviously it is down to the writers as to whether or not they bring him back but it doesnt change the fact that he quite clearly died!!

in blade, whistler was quite clearly blown apart with a machine gun but the writers miraculously (disgracefully) thought of some lame story to bring him back in the 2nd!!

if writers cant think of better stories than bringing back dead characters they arent worth the huge sums of money they are probably being paid!!!

Agreed. He's dead for now and always will be unless Raimi or Sony decides to bring him for a sequel.

We were showed a corpse, so YES he's dead.

Anyone thinking otherwise is in extreme denial.

I think he's still alive.

when? if you mean the underwater shot of him...then it could be taken either way. the arms could of powered up again and quickly got him to saftey and revived him

Corpse ? where's the corpse ?

We just see him falling on water and then nothing

So to me he is still there and I smell some sinister reunion sooner than later on big screen
