I've been hearing from a bunch of people on the boards that they HATED or didn't like Teen Titans

Before I joined here I thought it was awesome and decently dark for a kids cartoon and I'm shocked so many people don't like it...

Why do you like/dislike Teen Titans?

I LOVED TT!

the trigon saga was amazing and raven was the best character. Robin was decently expanded too.

Bogus anime look, annoying as hell theme song.

i didn't like the style
but, it had some decent storylines, and it portrayed the characters pretty good

That show was great. The only thing that kept me from channel surfing in its day. Some of the cartoons were contrived and annoying, while others were five-star, on par with Batman Beyond. The anime elements gave the show a nice boost of awesome.

Don't like the style, okay story, hate the song and got bored alot of times.

04nbod, I've downloaded it in english and japanese :woot::up:
Is this topic dead?

On A Final Note,
Teen Titans

I hated the style, theme song, and characters. That combination led me to switch channels usually after about 5 minutes, so I never made it through a whole episode.

It was OK I guess but I wasn't crazy about it. I'm from the Marv Wolfman & George Pérez era and that's what I want to see. The anime look just doesn't get it for me and the redone stories ain't as good as the original Wolfman stories.

In other words.... The books were better.

I realize it's a superhero show, and therefore some belief has to be suspended to appreciate it...but there were always these moments in just about every episode I saw where some basic law of physics was conveniently broken just to move the story along. For example...since when can Robin THROW a giant man made out of concrete (regardless of how "mad" he is)? And since when can a normal car drive along the 90-degree face of a cliff (so that the driver's bodies are parallel to the ground below) for extended periods of time?

(It's been a while since I've seen this show, so please don't ask me to give specifics on episodes and whatnot...I just remember these scenes, and asking myself WHY the creators felt the need to do that so often)

Stuff like that, plus the complaints others here have posted (odd animation, awkward approach to dialogue and situations, etc.) basically culminated into an overall avoidance of the show for me.:O

Regardless, I can still see the appeal it has to others, so I by no means wish to put down those that do like it. Just an opinion, nothing more.:yay:

Definitely loved Slade in the show.

I only caught it every now and then. Sometimes it was good, sometimes it was bad. I've probably seen more juvenile bad episodes than good.
