Die Hard 5

Looks like it'll be worth the money. I'm in.

looks like another stupid lame action flick with no plot and character that i'll wait in line all night on opening night for after having camped out in front of the movie theater for months bringing along with me only a costume that relates to the film and computer so i can keep posting how much this film is gonna suck

Eh... just looks like an unspecific action film with McClane in it. Which isn't suppose to be like that at all. Die Hard has always been a unique thing.

But hey, it's a teaser.

This. Hoping the next trailer shows more of John McClane being... well... John McClane... hell, why was the yippie ki yay line not the end line? They got the music spot on. The rest... it screamed good action film, but not a Die Hard type film.

I saw it on a blog and I googled to check and it says so on IMDB so take that for what its worth.

Looks terrific. The tone, compared to DH4, feels much more R-Rated, which is quite an accomplishment for 1 minute.

How do you figure? Is Jersey a swear?

The tone just seemed more R-Rated, whereas watching the teaser for DH4... I could tell it was Pg13-ish. Not basing this on fact or anything, just a feeling. It seemed more R-Rated. I could be wrong though.

This looks like more of the same as the last Die Hard, which earns a pass from me. I don't want to see McClane as some sort of supercop.

 Dude became a super cop in DH3. Which imo, is the best of the series. Of course I saw DH3 when I was a little kid, it was one of the two first ever R rated movies I saw (Bad Boys was the other one), first DH i saw, so I am bias in that dept.

DH3- 9.1-9.5 range(I forget actual score)
DH 9
DH2: 7 (But an 8 on later viewings)
DH4: 8 (but 6.5-7 later viewings)

DH4 is one of those films that makes DH2 actually better....cause DH2 is R...Also I can now a days flip flop on DH and DH3 better first or second best in series. Both are just entertaining. DH3 is also the better summer blockbuster than DH4. Better villian, ties into DH, Sam Jackson, R, McClaine surfing a tidal wave via a truck....c'mon bro.

I liked the uncut DH4. Ive never seen the PG13 version

the blood wasnt that bad though if I remember right. It was better than the Expendables where the blood was just ridiculous looking.

ANd the cursing was dubbed in some parts

I've loved this trailer, but I fear it'll be rated PG-13. If you look at 0:46 you can see a "transparent squib" (which are used for shootouts in PG-13 movies), instead of a blood squib. Now, I hope they digitally recolored the squib for the trailer, but if that's not the case.... :(

Blood is not allowed in Green Band trailers. It is often edited out or made colorless in trailers.

I hope that's the case, and not that it's really colorless!

I love LFODH, my second favourite in the series and so far I haven't liked anything about this movie that was announced, from the director choice to the plot to the inclusion of his son. However I don't know how so many are making such broad judgments, good or bad, based on a minute of explosions.

In one minute, this looks more like a DIE HARD movie than LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD (my least favorite DIE HARD sequel; first comes DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE, then DIE HARD 2) did in two hours. Guess that says a lot about Len Wiseman's entry.

To you maybe, to me it looked like a bunch of explosions that could be from any random action movie.

The son kills it for me. I've enjoyed all the Die Hard movies (especially 1 & 3) but something about this one isn't clicking with me.

I'm not sure at this point. I actually enjoyed LFODH when I watched it, but nothing from that film really sticks with you afterward. Not like DH and DHWV (DH2 was crap, lets just admit that up front). I don't like how modernized the hue and coloring of the film is in this trailer (heavy blues). I wish a film series could keep a consistent look rather than being so jarring. But that's my only grumble from the trailer at the moment.

TBH, i'm a little unsure about this format as well... I'd like to see a bit more before i make up my mind tho (not meant to be a dig at anyone BTW).

Willis and SLJ were a great team in DH3, hopefully this father/son team up will be just as good.

It's no accident that DH and Vengeance are the best ones and both happen to be directed by John McTiernan.

John Moore is no John McTiernan.

Looks good to me so far,I ain't expecting this to be the best in the series But I think it could be a great sequel!!

As for the other films in the series I rank them..

DH
DH:WAV
LFODH
DH 2(I think it's underrated But my least favorite of the series so far)
