This does not sound good for ALL the fans that would like to see FF3 and a completion to a trilogy storyline...

During the scene where Ben and Johnny are getting ready for the wedding (right before Johnny makes the rock slide joke), Tim Story is discussing a deleted scene that was setting up introducing the Puppet Master…

"…giving them (Alicia and Ben) a little bit more of a story that unfortunately if you watch the deleted scenes, you’ll see there was a kind of a little subplot we had going on with them that later introduces the Puppet Master maybe for film 3…if there was going to be one."

I'm watching the movie right now (got an early copy for those of you wondering...the barebones version, not the one with all the extras and deleted scenes), first with commentary by Tim Story and then with producer Avi Arad, writer Don Payne and film editors Peter Elliot and William Hoy. If anything else pops up, I'll post it.

But for right now, I am not happy...

Continuing with Tim's commentary (the scene where Sue and Johnny are talking briefly about their father before they walk down the isle)...

"...I always wanted to keep that open (the possibility that Sue and Johnny's father maybe alive) because in the event there was a third, it might be some information that someone could use that in the sense the father is alive."

What did he mean by "that someone could use"...is he talking about writers or another director?!?

I'm not sure how to interpret this...

Writer Don Payne states...
During the the scene where Reed and Ben are crushed by the large slab of rock that...
"...writing the script for a film like this, a sequel and one that's going to be made...". He then goes on to say that it is a collaborative effort that involves everyone.

I'm not sure if he is referring only to FF2 or is he talking about a possible FF3 script.

Don then goes on to say during the Super Johnny/Uber Doom fight scene...
"...he goes kinda Super Skrull, and I always loved Super Skrull in the comics and I almost didn't want to do this because I thought it would preclude the use of the Super Skrull, but I don't think that's the case, because if we ever do the Skrulls or Super Skrull we could still do it."

Don also states in the scene where the threat of Galactus is stopped by the Silver Surfer...
Whether he is destroyed or simply transported "...it leaves the door open I think for a future film".

Don also goes on to say during the end wedding scene when Ben and Alicia kiss and part...
"...there's a line there between them of her saying Ben you gotta meet my step-father, but he can be a little difficult sometimes, kind of setting up the Puppet Master, but it got cut for time."

And during the epilogue with the Silver Surfer...
"...and here's the coda, which I didn't write, but it's good because it sets up the next film..."

It could even be used to set up the Super Skrull. The Skrulls could have witnessed the fight and been like "We need a soldier that can do that"
