What proof of there is for creationism besides faith?

please, if there was proof that evolution did in fact exist, it would be all OVER the news, internet, newspaper, magazines like crazy. It would be the most talked about and most debated discussion in the history of this planet. every channel would have breaking news showing the infallible evidence that yes, evolution is a fact... Bryan Williams would have an entire show dedicated to the discovery of the evidence and at the end say, "YES, Evolution is fact."

but, alas, has there ever been anything of recent to prove that this exists?...

no. no breaking news, no special broadcasts, no special news bulletins, no nothing...

ALL of this is based on pure belief.

1. Evolution has been proven for a long time. It's old news.

2. It IS still hotly debated because people like you ignore the overwhelming evidence because of your religious beliefs. Religion is still believed by a great many people. I predict that will change soon (non believers are the third largest group behind Christians and Muslims, and we're growing). But in the mean time the majority of people still believe in anceint stone age mythology, which evolutions directly contradicts. Poor didums.

Evolution is a current scientific theory. That means that it has not been disproven, and there is credible evidence to support it. Science isn't like religion. The moment there is any real evidence that disproves evolution, science will accept it and try and find another explanation for the evidence.

But guess what? The scientific theory of evolution was proposed over 100 years ago. Because it flies directly in the face of the bible, many people hate it and have gone to great lengths to try and disprove it. But to this day, no one has. Evolution has survived everything that has been thrown at it and has passed with flying colours.

If there were ANY real evidence that proved evolution wrong, it would not still be around.

Anything you have against evolution is not based on reason, it is based on your unstable emotions. Keep them out of this discussion.

In science, an idea cannot be a theory without backable evidence. Evolution has been supported over and over and over again, and never refuted.

That does not make it fact, nor does it mean that it's been proven to be true. However, the common consensus among the scientific community is that it is, likely, true.

Prove us wrong, Kakarot. Be the first person to ever have ligitimately refuted evolution based on rational thought and scientific evidence, and the theory of evolution will be rejected or modified based on said evidence.

It's that easy. That's my challenge to you.

You just proved me right and yourself wrong. You have been a part of this thread for a while, and it has been clarified several times that a scientific theory is not the same as an every day theory of unsupported conjecture.

By choosing to ignore rational arguments and evidence that has been practically spoon fed to you, you show yourself as a person who is illogical and not worth the time to debate. Stop wasting our time and go away.

yes, I choose to ignore them because it's not what I believe in... It's what you believe in. You obviously have a lot of faith in what you believe in... You're right, I don't know much about evolution, because, honestly, I don't care about it as much as you do, and I never will, because that's not what I believe in.

face it... evolution is just like every other religion, with beliefs, texts of belief, evidence, radicals who'll scream at another who doesn't think the same way, articles that prove the existence of what they believe in, and places to where they can discuss their belief in such things... just because it's all in the name of science doesn't make it more or less of any other belief or religion.

It's ironic how some people here bash, criticize, and, destroy Christians on here in other threads that have "proof" that God/god/gods exist(s), and yet when the same people who come into this one and say evolution is a fraud, you yell and scream and call others names just because they think differently than you... we're all the same on here.

I know I have different beliefs than a lot of people on here, and I'll defend them, but there's a point to where enough is enough on a certain subject... making a thread about how evolution is a fact is like every other religious thread that says "Christianity/Hinduism/Buddhism/Judaism/or any other religion for that matter is real."

I'm not basing why I would like to see this thread closed on personal religious belief, religious criticism, or derogatory insults, but on kindness to everyone of the boards... I realize this is a controversial thread, and I can respect that, but all these religious threads do is create arguments, fights, and insults on both sides. I probably have said one or two rude things in here, so I'm no better, but IMHO, it's just not needed.

And just an fyi, the Christian/Jewish Bible has zero evidence supporting any events in Genesis or Exodus. at all. period. There isn't even record of Jews ever being in Egypt. at all. period. And certainly isn't any record of Moses outside of Biblical texts. And there is much more evidence for Judaism being a religion that came out of Sumeria and mixed with Canaanite myths than anything else.

Funny thing is Jews (the one's who wrote the bulk of the Bible) don't believe any of it's literally true...not even Orthodox. But for some reasons Christians in America (and almost no where else) seem to believe this.

So religion rarely seems to need evidence in backing claims...especially in regards to Gods and their existence.

Here's something you have to get your head around: evolution is not a religion.

I don't have faith in evolution. I think it's true because there is real, physical, observable evidence supporting it.

But if there were any real, observable evidence to disprove evolution, I wouldn't clamp my hands to my ears and shout "NO!". I have nothing personally invested in evolution, and if someone else has a better scientific theory that can explain our origins whilst accounting for the fossil record and the evolution we see TODAY among fruitflies and viruses, then I'm all ears. The very nature of science is that when something is disproven, you move on and try to find another explanation.

Evolution is science. It has mountains upon mountains of evidence supporting it, and this far in its 150 year history, nothing has disproven it. All the facts support it. We can be as sure about evolution as we can be sure that there is gravity and that the world is round.

evolution is faaar from a fact. ask any real scientist, and he'll tell you that all science is is best guess based on evidence. nothing is "proven" at all.

anyways, i'm not arguing... like i said, i more or less believe in evolution. i think that it is probably what 'happened', and is infinately more believable than and religion.

i'm just saying it's far from a fact.
