Somebody has to do something. Even the little things can help.
 
In otherwords, guns aren't a public safety issue to certain politicians and they will fight tooth and nail (and gun) to prevent any kind of attempt to reign in the gun violence.
 
Ted Lieu is an outspoken proponent of gun control. I find it highly unlikely that all of a sudden, the Congressman is chasing the NRA money. Could it be on this issue, the Governor of New Mexico is taking such an extreme position on gun control, that it's too much for someone with a record like Ted Lieu?
 
Yeah, there's little chance Ted is trying to appeal to the NRA. He's been very forthright about his opposition to that organization.
 
Sounds like New Mexico is going in the right direction and that it's a problem to him. Not like Republicans don't do worse with less justification.
 
Great. Hopefully he'll at least be red flagged and lose his guns now.
 
This isn't going to end well for him.
 
It would be nice, but could it also be used to take away other rights? That's a concern.
