2 times now in the past 24 hours I've had idiots try to make this uneducated "the internet existed before 2015" argument and I have thoroughly enjoyed making them understand the gravity of the situation. The look on the guys face last night was quite pleasing.

Ted Cruz convienently forgets Comcast and Verizon both got *****-slapped for trying to control the internet prior to 2015 and infact it was Verizon's attempt to legalize their control that got Title II implemented in the first place. And also during that period of time they were under it, the internet did grow and expand and it did not harm ISP's one bit. They even said this publically but Pai and the Republicans straight up lied and ignored that fact.

AT&T has been doing that for a couple of years now.

Double check when it applies. For AT&T it only gets throttled when in large locations (cities) with heavy congestion. You still have unlimited data.

Although, when it happened to me, I did make the argument that it's less unlimited because I can't download as much data in the same amount of time if my speeds are reduced.

From everything I've read online the IPSs have really f***ed themselves having Pai kill net neutrality. Most states are coming out with their own protections like above so it's going to be a nightmare trying to make sure they are in 50 different guidelines.

On top of all the lawsuits, they also tried to pre-empt all of these states by saying they can't do that as they gutted themselves but apparently once the FCC relinquished control over regulating ISPs they can't go back and say they also have the power to enforce these restrictions on the 50 states.

They were so gung ho to f*** all of us they actually f***ed themselves way harder!

All of this you have to remember is because Verizon tried to screw over customers several years ago and forced Net Neutrality into law when they took on the FCC and lost before Pai attempted to kill it.
