Discussion: Planned Parenthood

Having/Not having a child isn't a decision like popping Flintstone vitamins. Whether the father is in the picture or not. It's a life altering decision.
I agree with this part.

I also agree poor arguments are often used in the abortion debate. Everyone is trying to constantly rationalize, interpret, and make a decision. Stupidity has become rampant from this issue stagnating forever over every presidential debate no doubt.

As for if we don't supply safe abortions the women will do it anyway I won't argue against or for. It's more the moral qualms about being placed in the position of telling the woman as a voter yeah go ahead is what I don't like as I don't feel (for better or worse whichever side you go on this whole debate) the voter (for a presidential election) should have to intrinsically comment on the issue every presidential election.

In the end, I feel this is a moral issue every couple must encounter. The woman has a burden placed on her as the child bearer and her partner must exhibit the utmost respect (never being pushy about avoiding condoms or other preventative measures when unable to support the woman having kids). This ultimately is a moral decision that perhaps lies outside the jurisdiction of government although on the other hand is a weight placed upon the doctor performing the procedure no doubt. Although one can assume the burden rests on giving the doctor proper justification to perform the procedure. If not, can the government charge with murder? I don't think it can. Does a moral quandary still persist from a religious standpoint? I can't rule it out 100% as much as I want to support women's rights is all I'm saying.

.

That's not what the argument should be about. That's the problem. Culture vultures have conflated two different arguments.

We had a problem with women dying unnecessarily (coat hangers), when we have the resources to not let that happen. The abortion, is just a clinical procedure that should be determined by safety.

The legal gun owner who shoots himself gets the same medical attention a gangbanger does. The character of either isn't brought into question.

The Republican/cConservatives have couched the clinical procedure of abortion into the argument about the character of the individual to pass judgement on. As if abortion is a character failure of the individual. And since Republicans can't get abstinence only education (aka less information is better) they've made it about "pro-life" which is ridiculous cause no one is advocating for death.

No one is making pro-lifers have abortions.
