Please run for President, Gretchen. :D

So, when the seat of Mercedes Bob Menendez became imperiled, my first thought was that Mikie Sherrill would run. After that, I thought "Huh....why not Chris (EDIT: I meant PHIL) Murphy?", but he didn't seem interested even though he's termed out. Now I hear that his wife, Tammy, is considering running for the senate seat and Sherrill wants to run for governor......whew!!!!!

You NJ folks confuse me. :funny:

I think I'd like details on language before I judge this. Is it available?

I will grant Fetterman this, immigration is out of control. Even I'm starting to get a little annoyed at millions crossing the border like it doesn't even exist. :(

We really do need universal healthcare. Being healthy shouldn't be a privilege but a right. I recently had a procedure done that without insurance would have cost $24k and even with my insurance I spent $5k on other medical issues (medicines, doctor visits, etc) just to reach that cap. If I had a serious condition that would easily triple or quadruple in cost.

Agreed. We have really good, affordable healthcare insurance because I worked at the University of California (costs about $500/month because UC contributes and we do everything at UCLA). It saved both my wife's (cancer of the thymus) and daughter's life (leukemia). My daughter's care over the 1st year alone was about $500,000. People can lose their homes and all their savings over medical procedures. Imagine being "responsible", saving your entire life for a comfortable retirement, and having it all taken away because you happened to be one of the many who got a serious illness.

Too right. Most households are one medical emergency away from homelessness or bankruptcy. :(
