I realized that when Karl Marx was having nightmares about the logical endpoint of capitalism he was dreaming of the republican party.

It's an impressive feat. Not a single republican acknowledges the existence of man made climate change and their devastating effects. All for short term, short sighted profits of the fossil fuel industry.

I think Trump will be unthinkable in just 20 years with the demographic shift.

If we could actually get young people to vote, he would have remained a racist on twitter.

How do we get them to vote? We also need to make sure the cyber infrastructure is solid, hack free, and that those working the booths or counting the ballots go through extensive background checks as well.

I'd like to believe Trump winning has motivated the youth enough to let their voices be heard in 2018 and 2020.

I would hope so. It would also help if the Democrats actually picked someone who can connect with young people (or, you know, connect with anyone besides a room full of Goldman Sachs people).
