It was a mistake for Jeff Flake to go onto Colbert.

So, now McCain has publicly come out against Graham-Cassidy. Guess that explains the rather blatant bribe to Murkowski of allowing Alaska to keep it's Medicaid expansion. We will see if the bribery has worked on Murkowski or Collins, though I seem to doubt it.

Next week is going to be stressful.

Of course the Alaska bribe has problems since it would seem to violate the Uniformity Clause of the Constitution so even if the bribe was accepted it could be challenged in court and they end up being forced to lose ACA along with everyone else.

I do look forward to the CNN healthcare debate with Graham, Cassidy, Sanders, and Klobucher now that this attempt seems to be sinking pretty hard. Especially with McCain's statements.

I'm surprised Colbert treated him with kid gloves. Most of Obamacare's problems are the result of deliberate Republican sabotage. He didn't even bring that up.

And Cruz just came out against it. Must mean its dead.

It was dead last week when McCain said he wasn't voting for it....Cruz is just trying to play both sides of the constituency so that he doesn't come out the loser. As soon as he saw that it was dead on arrival, he comes out against it instead of having balls like Murkowski and Collins he waits to see if it has a chance or not.

New poll shows opinion of the GOP is at an all time low. Surprise, surprise.

I wonder when Cruz will realize he will never get an actual shot at being president.

And now Collins has come out officially against it. Particularly against the Maine bribe they snuck into the bill.

Those new changes are clearly bribes and I'm glad to see they aren't working. The GOP is spineless. I'm happy that all their blustery obstruction politics during the Obama administration are now getting them nowhere.

There's a really dark humor to what they've been doing. They can't pass a single major piece of legislation with the majority in all the major branches. It'd be hilarious if they weren't so depraved.

It is hilarious as the realization is that there is not 2 parties, but three.

I am reading reactions to the CNN healthcare debate, and it seems like Graham and Cassidy are conceding a lot of points to the dems.

I don't think you understand how the Uniformity Clause works, where on earth did you read that?

Yeah, here's the part you need to key in on.
The Uniformity Clause is rarely litigated, and it seems like a provision the Court is reluctant to give much life to.
The manner in which you would have to interpret the Uniformity Clause to get that Graham-Cassidy Bill is Unconstitutional would be an interpretation of that clause we have not seen. It would call into question a lot of other federal programs as well even the ACA in its entirety with some states not accepting the Medicaid expansion but paying the increase in taxes to pay for Medicaid in other states. And of course there is this gem at the end of the article
I have not studied the proposed text and operation of the Cassidy-Graham reform bill to know whether either of these claims would (or should) ultimately prevail.

I am always so disappointed and shocked when I see such terrible journalism from the Post. This is such click bait it is ridiculous. I'm just mad that we fell for the bait.

Roy Moore just won the Alabama primaries. We might soon have a true blue theocrat on the senate.

Trumps pick wasn't racist enough I guess.

I just read up on this dude, wow. Alabama for reals?

GOP sold their soul to get all three branches and now the devil is coming to collect.

He's an absolute moron. Go watch his video where he talks about how the first amendment only applies to Christians.
