🇺🇸 Discussion: The REPUBLICAN Party - - - - - Part 20

US News
Tillis reversed course on voting against Trump’s so called emergency declaration.

He’s going down next year.

He is more scared of a primary than the general election.

If Tillis is indeed getting primaried by another Republican, it makes it easier for the Democratic challenger to knock both them off and win the Senate seat.

We will see if his vote has changed the view of Trump, since he was outspoken against it.

So, everyone's favorite tool, Devin Nunes, is apparently suing Twitter for $250 million dollars.

I suggest reading the complaint, as Nunes includes tweets. Including one of a human centipede of Putin, Trump, Nunes.

Boy, making that Human Centipede tweet national news is an impressive self-own. What a thin-skinned baby. He deserves all the mockery he's receiving.

Haley tweets her dangerous ignorance propaganda again, attacking Finland.

Hey, we found voter fraud and electorial manipulation just like Trump said! Oh, it was the Republicans doing it? Nevermind.

We aren’t allowed to call ourselves a democracy anymore apparently because we don’t want people to think they are Democrats

Is the U.S. a Democracy? A Social Studies Battle Turns on the Nation’s Values

“I’m really proud of my students,” Ms. Debowski said. “They can handle the complexity.” So she was angry last year when she learned of a proposed revision of the state standards, in which the word “democratic” was dropped from “core democratic values,” and the use of the word “democracy” was reduced.

The changes were made after a group of prominent conservatives helped revise the standards. They drew attention to a long-simmering debate over whether “republic” is a better term than “democracy” to describe the American form of government.

That the two sides in that tussle tend to fall along party lines, each preferring the term that resembles their party name, plays no small part in the debate. But members of the conservative group also brought to the table the argument that K-12 social studies should be based on a close, originalist reading of the United States’ founding documents.

They contended that the curriculum ought to focus more on the nation’s triumphs than its sins. And they pushed for revisions that eliminated “climate change,” “Roe v. Wade” and references to gay and lesbian civil rights.

So... when the president says our country is full, I take that to mean that all immigration is bad... not just illegal immigration.

Which is the honest position of the GOP anyway... so it’s kinda refreshing to see them to tell the truth for once. Like... you don’t like brown people... just say it. You know you want to.

Kind of says how much faith and conviction they have in their own stances, that they don’t even want opposing ideas to be discussed.

Exact reason why they are packing the courts. They know ultimately they will be the minority in the electorate. But as long as they can sue and get a judge that agreed with their shrinking world view, they can impose their will on the majority. Look what’s happening in North Carolina, Florida, and Wisconsin where they are overturning the will of the voters.

Conservative Republicans are going to be the very thing that destroys the country they claim to love so much.

This is the caliber of pleb the Republicans are represented by...it’s honestly ****ing insane.

There is no earthly reason why we should respect the authority of these idiots who “represent” us. If this was a meritocracy they’d be under a bridge.

I think a lot of these so called "right wing" commentators get a lot more stick than they deserve a lot of them are actually pretty reasonable even if I don't agree with them but my god I can't listen to that Candace Owens for more than a few minutes without wanting to pull my ears off.
