Discussion: The Tea Party

No it isn't. It's a very poorly done and limited "study", in fact, it doesn't even qualify as a "study". It may seem better to you, perhaps because you agree with the result, but the in the end it's just the same as the others you don't agree with. I'm not calling Ekins and liar, anymore than Shultz or Olbermann (whom I don't watch), they may believe what they write but their methods are equally bullsh**.

And of course the views of media pundits qualifies as such. Maybe you are disregarding it because you disagree with the results.

To all those that try to claim that the GOP has co-oped the original intent of the Tea Party:

To those that don't like to click on links, members of the CATO Institute went to a Virginia Tea Party event and conducted polling. They found that 49% have the political philosophy of libertarians (whether they call themselves Libertarians or Republicans).

Hippie let this be an important lesson for you if you consider a career in politics:

It's easy to look brilliant when everyone else is so damn stupid.

Oh god no that will only make her loved more.

Palin's pretty much put her hat the ring at this point, there's no way she's not going to run. It's best that Republicans prepare NOW and rally around an anti-Palin nominee like the Democrats did to Hillary. Romney where are you?

How does that prove the GOP didn't co-op the original intent of the Tea Party. 51% were conservative, that's over half. Plus, that was Virginia. I wonder how those numbers would look if they polled at a South Carolina Tea Party event.

The Libertarian Tea Partiers doesn't do anybody any good if they vote Republican, except of course, the Republicans.

Wow, CNN? this should be interesting....

Those no good Socialists. Wanting to help their fellow men have health care if they get sick and not wanting children who were brought to this country by their parents at a tender age to be held accountable for crimes. After all, Jesus says love thy neighbor, unless they have dark skin and can't afford health insurance.

I am not surprised.

My parents are Methodists and they're pretty damn conservative. When I used to go to church, it was pretty freaking conservative there as well.

The "Tea Party" isn't going after methodists. "Tea Party Nation" - a specific group is.

Actually, scratch that. It's not even "The Tea Party Nation" that has a thing against methodists.

That guy should be removed from his position in the Tea Party Nation group and formally apologize for his comment. His comment was offensive and uneducated, and it makes the whole Tea Party movement look bad (even though he only officially represents Tea Party Nation, not the Tea Party movement as a whole).
