Obviously, this is utterly ridiculous. Just because Israel is the only country coming out as having been open, transparent and honest. As always, the rest are dishonest and despicable - and Turkey is up there with all of her allies and neighbors.

so, I tried to ask this before, but are things like Wikileaks only 'bad' when they expose secrets of the 'good' countries? What if they exposed some kind of plot like Operation Northwoods, to use an example that craigdbfan mentioned in another thread.

Have people calling for this guy's head ever viewed Wikileaks before they started exposing info from 'good' countries? I think the tune would be much different if they knew how much corruption and other bad **** has been dug up because of people at Wikileaks.

Heh. As a Canadian, I will admit there's some Anti-American stuff here. But it's mostly just joking and laughing at 'em. Make fun of Bush, American politics, stuff like that. And yes, we do have an Inferiority Complex. But we KNOW we're number 2 in North America. But we love the fact that we're kick your asses on issues like Gay Rights, Universal Health Care. Oh and, we're not one of the most hated countries in the world. Hooray!

But I have never seen anything about Americans killing Harper. That's just crazy.

If the information existed it would have already been leaked. Does anyone honestly believe that the government is competent enough to keep the existence of any hypothetical alien life a secret when they can't even keep these military documents from being leaked?

There has been more important stuff that has been ratted out, like the Nixon tapes. If aliens exist and they are more technologically advanced than us, what is the point of covering it up? If the aliens themselves ever decide to go public there's nothing the government can do to stop it. Even if there was a spaceship crash, it's just as likely that the fuselage is sitting in some crazy redneck's basement under a tarp as it is for it to be in some top secret government compound. At least the crazy redneck doesn't have hundreds of easily disgruntled government employees to let his secret out. People who think the US government could actually pull off an alien conspiracy give them way too much credit.
