Superman Returns Discussions on Music from Superman Returns (merged)

Guys, I am confused as to which track you are referring to. I have been trying to locate the track used on the 2nd international trailer when the choir kick off! This happens about half way through the trailer when Lex says- "Now fly!" and supes gets a kicking.

I have searched all over the place and have got nowhere! Someone hinted that it may be from 'Immediate music' but no success as yet!

Help!

PS- I haven't even seen the film yet as i'm in the UK so Pleeeeease help!

I know you have mate! It's killing me!

Best bet is it is from 'Immediate Music' and I am trying to locate their sound archives to nail this bad-boy

yeah someone else ask'd the same question, and again i'm sure we've all heard the song before in the past. infact, i keep thinking that that song was used in some other movie that recently came out or something. but i cannot pin-point it.
was it used in Batman Returns perhaps??

Music that the CD is missing

1)The opening krypton theme
2)the daily planet theme
3)the superman returns 'march' (basically, the 60 seconds of music cut off the end of rough flight/plane sequence where supes puts the plane down, and the following celebration)
4)The march theme that builds up to superman rocketing out of the elevator shaft, then leads into 'not like the train'
5)Superman giving Jason the kryptonian patriarch speech at the end of the film.
6)the music that plays when Lex activates the train set
7)the classical music that is playing when Lois trespasses on Lex's boat.
8)the music playing in the elevator when Clark and Lois are eyeballin
9)the music when Kitty returns from her distraction, and slaps lex
10)the classical music playing when Lex has captured Lois and Kid

feel free to add to that list.

Ironically, these are all the tracks I would have bought the CD for (other than Little Secrets/Power of the Sun, Not Like the Trainset, and Saving the World). I found the rest of the CD good, but nothing special. Had the CD included the above mentioned bits of music, I'd be listening to it constantly.

ps. thanks for the merge

Yes, please, I need to know the name of this opera song ASAP.

Oh, and I've got another question. What's the name of the song that plays at the opening credits and at the end when Superman is flying through the clouds? I know it's John Williams' theme song, but I'm unsure of the name.

Thanks.

what is that site where you can find the soundtrack to S:TM?

Anyone?

OK OK OK!

I have confirmation that the song is from 'Brand X' but as yet the track name has not been established.

Happy hunting!

got another,

11) Meeting at the Daily Planet, when Perry is handing out assignments.

What is that music playing in the elevator, anyway....it went perfect in the scene, and it sounds like something that Clark would listen to....heh

don't know, but it had the line "Tell me when will you be mine?" (while clark is undressing her with his xray vision), but to elevator music, it was perfect for the scene.

And like Spider-man, the popular music stuff was not really heard. I'll grant you they used it in the Spider-man credits but it was no Prince & Batman effort (thank goodness).
