Disney Infinity Platform

Yeah same here. I've gotten to play it a bit today and it definitely feels like a step up. Even the hub world is awesome with a lot to do and see.

I went to Target and brought Obi Wan and Yoda for $20 combined. That Target has this sale above other Infinity figures, so I took those 2 SW figures and ended up getting the same discount at the cash register. I don't know if other Target has this sale but I'm glad to have gotten it today.

Btw, I preordered my 3.0 from Amazon, who promised a free Toy Box Takeover but I did not receive it in the mail. Does anybody else have the same problem? I sent an email to Amazon about it and hopefully they will send it to me as advertised.

I pre ordered from them as well. When my starter pack shipped, they sent me a code for a free Toy Box Takeover. However, you still have to pay for shipping if you don't have prime. :( So t cost me 5 bucks to get the takeover shipped.

Where's the code in the box? And how do you use the code to have Amazon send the play set to you?

Actually I'm sorry there was no code.
Amazon sent me an email that said my pre order qualified me for the free toy box takeover. And that the free credit had been applied to my account. So when I put the TBT in my Amazon cart, it was free.

That Quorra one is mine,

I checked my inbox but I can't find an email with the code in it. I've sent an email to Amazon and they replied that they will be sending me a replacement. I hope it's the playset.

I was playing in the Toy Box last night and I had Yoda fighting Venom in the middle of Neverland. Good times. :yay:

I'm disappointed that 2.0 toy box can't work in 3.0. Btw, does Best Buy sell Toy Box Takeover? I might have to buy that playset myself since Amazon didn't give it to me even though I preordered from them.

isn't that the same for 1.0 to 2.0 ?

you could i believe however download 1.0 stuff onto your 2.0 game... so maybe 3.0 will allow you to purchase and download 1.0 and 2.0 stuff?

I found Toy Box Takeover at Toys R Us today. But when I went to pay for it, they had to put in a code and they were telling someone back in video games to take them off the shelves because they weren't supposed to be selling it until October 3rd.

They let me buy it, and apparently people were buying them all day...but they goofed, because they also said it wasn't supposed to be out there yet.

Since both Skylanders Superchargers and Lego Dimensions have arrived, and apparently Dimensions is getting stellar reviews, I wonder how the other two toys-to-life games are affecting 3.0?

I'm not as into 3.0 as I was 2.0 but I'm hoping the release of the classic star wars stuff will get me building more toyboxes in 3.0.

Lego Dimensions doesn't release until tomorrow.

I think 3.0 is a major improvement from 2.0, such as the new combat system, a hub that introduces you to various aspect of the game, and a better looking skill tree. Also, Twilight of the Republic lets you go back to any previous completed missions to let you redo it to gain more stars, although unlike Skylanders it doesn't give you a lot of incentive to replay a mission since there's no secret treasures to look for.

Lego Dimensions doesn't release until tomorrow.

I saw listings for it on eBay so I thought it's already on sale.

Honestly, I doubt it will have much effect. Disney Infinity's brand recognition alone will keep it successful until if/when the whole toys-to-life thing finally collapses. Of the three games on the market now, I feel like Skylanders is in the most trouble potentially. It has the advantage of being the first on the market, so it has a very established base and all, but with Lego coming in with established and popular IPs out the ying-yang like Infinity, I could see it declining.

I still can't find Toy Box Takedown play set anywhere. Btw, how come when you play a new toy box, it will tell you that many items are locked and cannot be played? What is the purpose of a toy box then, if you have to unlock all the items by playing and gaining those XP so you can buy them at the toy box store? This really irks me about this game.
