Disney/Pixar's Onward

Tom Holland’s character looks like a mix between his Spies In Disguise character and the cook from Ratatouille.

Well they've caught my interest.

I looked up the other two screenwriters and one is a playwright and the other writes for Funny or Die.

Artist Sues Disney, Pixar Over Unicorn-Adorned Van in 'Onward'

In addition to seeking damages, Daniher is asking the court for an injunction barring defendants from distributing, marketing or selling infringing advertisements, merchandise and the film itself and she wants a declaration that defendants' related copyrights are invalid.

That never ever will happen. I assume Disney will offer her a big pile of money and all will be forgotten.

Yeah Disney doesn't care about that they'll just throw some cash at it.

Liking that poster, am well looking forward to this, I always look forward to a Pixar film but this one has lots of elements that genuinely excite me and interest me.

Well, for one thing, that's not a unicorn on the Pixar van. It's a Pegasus.

There are some vague stylistic similarities but unless she has a copyright on mythical horse van designs, she doesn't have a case. The Pixar van just looks like a typical fantasy themed van.

Am I the only one thinking this looks kinda "off," and thinking that even Disney and Pixar don't put tipo much stock in it, contrary to Soul?

Just an initial impression, though.

When they have two being released the same year one will always be the lesser. We're not getting a Good Dinosaur or anything.

Doesn't feel like there has been much buzz for this one yet.

Maybe it will ramp into high gear now that it's in the final few weeks before release.

The trailers haven't done much for me but that's par for the course with Pixar trailers. You don't really get the sum effect of their storytelling in a 2-minute appetizer.

There’s premieres over the next few days in LA (where Holland and Pratt are right now), London, and Berlin.

I mean it's obvious it's going to get pretty heavy considering the Pixar track record as well as the subject matter. Every guy has some kind of daddy issues whether he was there or not.

I'm prepared to be a hot mess. I know it's coming.
Never forget... :( "Take Her To The Moon For Me, OK?"

I saw the trailer again for this today before Sonic and I for the life of me don't understand what the hell this film is trying to be. It's just...weird.

He's still a starstruck kid after it all

Yea I think Holland is still a kid kind of pinching himself that all this is happening. He gets totally starstruck left and right.

It's refreshing to an extent as opposed to all these other 20 somethings who work with veterans in the game and pretend they're too cool for school
