Disney+

Eternals is probably one of my least favorite of the MCU. It's visually stunning though but It's just hard to get invested in these characters. It's hard to put any of them even over the most secondary of current MCU characters like even Drax or Mantis. If I had to buy one of their Funkos, I guess it'd be Sersi by default?

I liked Kingo and Phastos but that was more of me being a fan of Kumail Nanjiani and Brian Tyree Henry than anything else.

Been watching the Will Smith series "Welcome to Earth" that one is great because he's traveling all over the world. Get Back was fantastic as well. I am also a sucker for nature stuff and outer space (actual outer space) so any Disney+ related content that deals with travel, sports, history, space and nature, I will watch and I will be excited for, moreso than even any MCU or Star Wars content coming out. I am talking more about docuseries and documentaries.

My current Top 5 Disney+ programs:

1. Get Back
2. Welcome to Earth (although only two episodes so far, it's fantastic)
3. World According to Jeff Goldblum
4. Among the Stars
5. Secrets of the Whales

Disney should definitely invest more in their National Geographic programming. If they want to reach a broader audience, they need to do more non Marvel/non Star Wars content.

This would be great for me if they did.

I wouldn't necessarily call it good either, it's very middle of the road IMO but the way I see it, if the MCU is like a TV show and the Avengers movies have been like big season finales, then Eternals is more like a filler episode that expands on some world building but you don't necessarily need to have watched it to enjoy anything else in the MCU. At least not yet.

Me, I wouldn't say its "middle of the road" so much as uneven. Its ambitious in ways that probably weren't wise, and tries to do some things that don't work and probably never could have worked. However, IMO, its still *interesting*, the kind of movie where what doesn't work is still kind of neat to see. I'd certainly much rather watch it against than Incredible Hulk and its "literally everything is the most boring and generic version possible".

It’s the Nikki/Paolo episode of the MCU.

It's funny how I basically haven't watched Lost at all since it ended and I've forgotten a good deal of what happened on the show but that one nothingburger episode sticks out in my mind as to how pointless it was. Ditto to the episode that explained Jack's tattoos, which I believe was later on in the same season.

yeah, those are the two, that come into my mind as well

Slow month, but the Betty White thing hurts.

I cancelled D+ yesterday. I will not come back until a new marvel series, nothing interesting for me there. Content is really thin for January.

I’ve been keeping it for the National Geographic stuff. The Will Smith show has been pretty good. Can’t wait for the Chris Hemsworth show too.
