TV Disney+

General Television
This new series is inspired by the classic book by Jules Verne and tells the story of the adventures of a group of children who enter a parallel dimension and discover a fascinating world.

hard pass for me.

I always thought that this movie needs a modern live action version with good effects - but not like this one and the brendan fraser one.
maybe they should just digitally remaster the version from 1959.

Im pissed that they killed Lizzy McQuire and havent ordered a Gargoyles revival. Stop hating on the shows that gave you a legacy!!!!
I think it’s just a matter of time before we see a Gargoyles revival or film adaptation. The problem is they’re too focused on the Star Wars and Marvel brands when it comes to their more action oriented franchises because that’s what’s brought them the most success in recent years. The funny thing is, had Disney not purchased Marvel and Lucasfilm, we’d probably have gotten a Gargoyles movie by now. But Disney+ is only a year and a half in, there’s still plenty of time.

this looks great - like something from Wes Anderson

Apart from the obvious 90s nostalgia, Marvel/Star Wars shows...D+ doesn't really do much for me in their original content just yet.

Reboot/revive So Weird.

My God a So Weird for adults would be EVERYTHING.

They should revive Eerie, Indiana

Anyone remember that show? It was so weird. Like a tamer version of Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks, X-Files, etc.
Oh yeah I was into that one. I think that's the only other thing I ever saw the main kid from Hocus Pocus in. I was gonna say I thought that was a Fox Kids show, but I guess Disney has all the rights to those now anyway, so fair game!

It could have been on Fox. I remember it was always playing on the Disney Channel though

Makes sense, they want the buzz twice a week instead of one. And the movies and TV shows don't cannibalize each other.

I think they should start spreading their shows out to other days too. Like leave Marvel shows on Wednesdays, Star Wars on Tuesdays, Disney reality shows on Mondays, scripted shows on Thursdays and then you have the movies on Fridays. I think they have enough coming out now that they can cover the entire week.

I imagine they'll start doing that once they have a more constant stream of shows in the pipeline. I can see them airing a new Marvel show alongside a new Star Wars show simultaneously with premiere days being on the same week.

Yeah, going to give this a lot of side eye...
