You're right, valid criticisms are just white noise....good philosophy.

I'm surprised Disney is dropping 3D Blu-rays. I guess it's not successful.

Since this is a wintertime kind of film, I'd bet money on the 3D version coming closer to Christmas this year with "collector's edition" or something slapped on it, possibly but unlikely a few more special features, to try and make a bit more.

Let it go, let it goooooo!

Anyway, I'm debating whether or not the villians of the Revival will be as revered as the ones from the Renaissance. I think Gothel and Facilier would more likely be the ones remembered.

If the poster had offered a valid criticism, then it wouldn't be a good philosophy. Seeing as how he didn't, I think their reactions are perfectly fine.

Not too many complains about these celebrities casting as Disney's characters, but Whoopie Goldberg as the Genie? They should've gotten Robin Williams instead.

Frozen comes home to Blu-ray on March 18. Pre-order

Good point. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I hope it does. The theater near me didn't have a 3D option at a time I could go see it and from what I read, the 3D is quite good so I'd like to pick it up in case I get the opportunity to use or get a 3D TV one day.

I wouldn't expect them to be rendered if that's what you're hoping. More than likely just rough animation.

Or even just storyboard panels with someone (not the actual actors) reading the lines. That's what the deleted scenes on the Robin Hood disc are.

Very true, in fact I don't recalled ever seeing a deleted scene from an animated movie fully rendered, the closest I can think of was a scene from Snow White that had the line drawing semi-finished, from memory the reason it was cut was due to budget. Animated films tends to be finalized well before the start of the final animation.

A little note about the blu-ray: someone on another forum I'm on pointed out that the 3D combo packs for Wreck-It Ralph, Brave and Monsters University have "Ultimate Collector's Edition" on the top and the 2D packs with "Collector's Edition", the latter on the Frozen 2D pack as well. So I'm assuming there'll be an Ultimate Collector's Edition sometime down the line, possibly November/December.

what else would the Ultimate Collector's Edition include besides 3D?

I'm just gonna get the Blu-Ray when it comes out in March.

I can't wait till November/December.........that's way too long.........lol

I want to watch this movie again, now!!

Probably just the 3D version. I don't see Disney putting much more in terms of bonus material into it. I'd love a real ultimate Blu-Ray 3D+Blu-Ray+DVD+Digital Copy+2 Disc Deluxe Album with a few more bonus features and some nicer cover art though. But that'll never happen, so I'm putting together a little ultimate edition of my own when it comes out in a white Viva Elite case with the Blu-Ray and the album with some custom cover art and slip cover.

ah......I'll just stick with the regular 2D Blu-Ray, then.

According to Box Office Mojo, Frozen's 7th weekend ranks 4th all-time behind Avatar, Titanic, and Passion of the Christ. A great achievement indeed!

Cool, the DVD/Blu-ray poster looks awesome. I'm thinking about ordering the DVD version even though I don't have a Blu-ray player.

Posting again from the hobbit thread:

Frozen and Catching Fire has surpassed Hobbit 2 in the domestic BO into the 300s and 400s. I don't think Hobbit will even pass 300 at this point being in 6th place this week. That speaks volumes.

aren't the Golden Globes on tonight??

I hope Frozen wins in its category.

Yup, Golden Globes are 8:00 tonight on NBC. E channel is doing the Red Carpet stuff right now.
