I imagine soon they'll added Elsa and Anna to the princess line-up advertisements promotional material

How come Poncahonda always has this sour expression on her face?

Because she was in such a crappy movie. Also, Mulan is not a princess Disney.

If Disney wants you to be in the princess lineup, then you are Disney princess.

If Disney wants you to be in the princess lineup, then you are Disney princess.

and if Disney doesn't want you in the princess lineup, then you won't be a princess.........:o

even if you technically are a princess.....you won't be a "princess."

Eilonwy and Kida say hi!!

Merida's inclusion in the whole Disney princess thing still rubs me the wrong way. Beyond the whole "Merida isn't girly!" reaction people had, Brave isn't part of the Disney films line.

It bugs me from the perspective that she's a Pixar creation and frankly I feel she has no place in that line up.

John Smith doesn't belong with the Princes, either. He wasn't of royal birth and he didn't marry Pocahontas so he can't get the title that way, either.

crap!! that's true!! :wow:

Eh, I couldn't give a crap about the dudes. No-one cares about them.

I really hope this will still be in the theater near me on the 7th. If it is, I'm going to go see it again.

Maybe Disney will add Princess Leia to the lineup next. :cwink:

As for Merida, I have no problem with her becoming a Disney princess. I think it is a good idea to have young girls having more role models like Merida, who is portrayed as courageous and able to defend for herself.

Well.....it seems Pixar is interested in doing something with Star Wars......

so a Jedi Princess may not be far off.........

Yes, Book of Mormon (also co-written by Matt Stone and Trey Parker) has Josh Gad and it's hilarious. Check out on YouTube "Man Up" from the show. It's like if Olaf tried singing a song from South Park.

It is hilarious.

I saw Josh Gad's understudy when I saw The Book of Mormon. When they announced it before the show started, the audience groaned about one of the leads being out. But the understudy was so hilarious that he even seemed to get some extra applause during the curtain call.

And Man Up is one of my favorite songs in that show.

Here's the cast of Avenue Q sending congrats to Bobby and Kristen Lopez on their Oscar nomination:

March 18th seems like a long time to wait for the blu-ray disc to arrive.

what the heck is a sing along version??

you mean the audience in the theater is actually encouraged to sing along with the songs during the movie??

never heard of that before......

Yep. They'll be running the lyrics along the bottom of the screen (with a bouncing snowflake, apparently) so people can sing along with the songs.

It's actually pretty fun. I went to the sing along version of The Sound of Music awhile back. Granted, it was a work thing and there was some drinking done beforehand, but it was still a lot of fun. :oldrazz:

wow!! never heard of them doing that........

not sure I'd want to experience that.........lol. I want to hear Elsa sing, not everyone else!!

but now I'm imagining a whole theater full of people belting out Let It Go while letting down their hair in sync with Elsa ( guys included ).

:wow:

Who the hell wants to hear a bunch of out of pitch people trying to belt out Let It Go?

That's what makes it fun. Virtually no one at these things can really sing, so you can all belt it out and sound ridiculous together. It's not something you go to if you're seeing the movie for the first time, it's something to go to if you've seen it before and listen to the soundtrack obsessively.

Think of it as the Rocky Horror Show, Disney-style. :cwink:
