You deserve to be slapped, TPC.

Anyways, the marketing really hasn't made me all that interested in this movie.

lmao, I love Ford.

I'm not even gonna pay attention to the marketing, because I know it'll be horrible. But this movie won't be.

Well, they're supposed to market it to me! A 15 year old high school boy! :argh: :o

I have been fooled by marketing. Mr.T don't pity me yet. :oldrazz:

Tangled was awesome!!

And I have high hopes for Frozen!!

But I don't think anything will ever come close to my all time favorite movie......Beauty and the Beast. :o

I was just watching BBeast a few days ago, after having gone a few years without watching it. Man, so much better than I remembered. That Waltz is one of the most beautiful scenes in Disney movie history. Flawless. Truly flawless.

While tangled was a very good movie i think it's some times exagerated, i wouldn't even put it on my Top computer animated films, let alone top 10 overall Disney animated films, there are just too many great ones like Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback, little mermaid, Aladin, Peter Pan, Snow White, Dumbo, Bambi, etc and etc.

So, Anna seems to know Olaf. Perhaps he was Elsa's imaginary friend or a doll she had when they were younger.

Great clips.

I find Tangled much more enjoyable than Snow White, Bambi, Hunchback and even Peter Pan. No exaggeration at all, it's a Disney classic in my eyes. It deserves all of the praise that it gets.

I don't really find it any better than those, not to mention 2 of the ones you mentioned are the granddadies of Disney (Snow White and Bambi), Citizen Kane has problems when compared to the modern times, but that doesn't change the context it's incerted in and how much it has inspired, after more than 50 years Snow White and Bambi have ages gracefully, something rare for even the best films from the 40s.

Just because those two movies are the "grandaddies" of Disney, doesn't mean that they need to be held up on some kind of pedestal. Let's not compare those movies to Citizen Kane, either. Snow White is a reactive princess that needs a prince to save her, while I like a more active princess that can stand on her own two feet but is still open to assistance. In that aspect, it hasn't aged gracefully for me. Women aren't just damsels in distress anymore. And Bambi was just boring to me, so I can't speak on that at all.

The older Disney movies just aren't as good as most of the movies starting with The Little Mermaid and on through the 90's for me. How much personality did Snow White even have compared to Rapunzel, Ariel, Jasmine, etc.? I can't even recall, it's been years since I've watched Snow White. I vaguely recall finding her pretty bland, though. Aside from the singing and s**t.

It was simpler times, she was basically the prototype of the Disney Princess, besides, while snow white may have lacked some personality that doesn't stop the other great things in that movie, with the imagery from the forest, the villain, and the dwarves themselves. With Bambi, i don't think i ever finished the film when i was a kid, but that doesn't change it from being great, because it actually is.

The thing with Tangled is that unlike these 2, it didn't do anything new, it was the same story with the usual modern beats where the princess is more impulsive, the villain was kind of boring, i mean, she did have intentions, but she just was kind of forgetable. The whole movie was just very well made, but nothing trully mindblowing like some of Disney's best.

Great clips.

Minor spoilers about Olaf. Don't click if you don't want to know.

When Elsa and Anna were young, they used to play together and have fun with Elsa's power, creating winter wonderlands inside the castle. One time, the girls created a snowman and named him Olaf. And Elsa got behind Olaf and started speaking, pretending he's alive.

Not sure if Olaf was enchanted at that point or if it's the same Olaf. But perhaps that's why the future enchanted Olaf seems familiar to Anna.

the lighting is very bland and some color choices are an insult to the human eye. you can use pink and blue on snow environments. but not like in Frozen. there is a reason why Pixar said that the technology is not ready for CGI snow.

clips are good. a story about two sisters. sounds interesting and looks interesting. why did the trailers ignore this info? i guess because if hollywood would have a brain than the universe would implode.

the design of the snow character doesnt fit in the the same universe of Frozen. watching the trailer and clips i see a clash of 3 different designs. bravo to Disney bravo. only a producer is that stupid to do this. there is no artist on this planet who would pitch this to the director.

it looks like a decent movie.

So did you only watch the first trailer? The international trailer and the theatrical trailer both mention it quite a bit.

the first trailer was so boring that i thought Disney was trolling.

I don't understand this argument. Disney has produced 3 very strong films in a row. People are really surprised this is getting strong early reviews? Why suddenly start hating when they are seemingly back in their stride?
