Fantasy Disney's "Gargoyles" movie?

Belfast director Sir Kenneth Branagh to bring Gargoyles revamp to big screen

Director Kenneth Branagh will reportedly helm a Gargoyles movie.

This news comes courtesy of the Belfast Telegraph. The purported feature film will be based on the animated 1990s TV series which followed nocturnal creatures known as gargoyles who turn to stone during the day. Branagh, director of films like Thor, Murder on the Orient Express, and Belfast, will direct the upcoming movie from Disney. This is another live-action adaptation from the brand.

Finally!

Branagh’s gonna double down on the Shakespearean aspects and I will be here for it! :jd:
I could also see him pulling double duty and playing Hudson. :hmm

I'm not quite sure that Branagh is the best fit for this material.

Even if it was true, him directing this wouldn't be much more farfetched than him directing Thor.

I'd honestly prefer them to reboot the series in film form but keep in animated.
Don't really see much benefit with them making it in live action (if that's what they would do) especially with the state of SFX/CGI

I’d love to see an animated feature in the style of the new TMNT & Spider-Verse films, but I’d take a live-action remake too.

Agreed, though, that 5 main Gargoyles that are fully CGI does give me pause…

Halle Berry would kill it as live action Elisa Maza. Shame they never did it years ago, Salli Richardson would’ve aced it herself too.
