Interesting (possible) news about JGL. Tarantino always rounds up a great cast.

isnt it enough with the small supporting roles? the guy is acting more then 10 years. hollywood knows that he has experience and talent.give this guy a big movie where he is the main character.

I agree. He has been chosing great or potentially great films to star in lately, but such small roles. :csad: Im MUCH more exited about his leading roles in small movies.

Movie didn't sound interesting to me before but JGL just changed my mind. My undying love for him dictates that I see all of his films...atleast on DVD.

Well, one of the articles indicated that Tarantino is reworking certain parts of the script... perhaps JGL's role will be pretty significant?

We also don't know if his role in TDKR is as small as it seems. He might have a lot more screentime than we are expecting. I don't think anyone expected Aaron Eckhart to have as big of a part in TDK until they saw it; perhaps it's the same for JGL.

And he was just in two movies where he played a lead (50/50 and Hesher) and is the lead in Premium Rush.

Really? None of the cast excited you before JGL? REALLY?

This is me questioning your taste.

But Eckhart played Harvey Dent while JGL is playing a cop named John Blake. Even if he has more screentime, I cant imagine that character being very interesting compared to the other ones.

Well, I'm sure there's more to the John Blake character than any of us are aware; if he were just a cop, they wouldn't have cast Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It probably isn't anything up there on the caliber of Harvey Dent, though.

Blake will probably just be in scenes with Gordon and a scene or two by himself with other characters. Not much. But God, I am loving the sound of this movie with each addition to the cast.

It'd be cool if JGL was in this. Great cast, so far.

Yeah, I'm sure it's not THAT big of a role, but I can't imagine he would have picked up JGL if the role wasn't a bit more complicated and significant. I was thinking about this today and I was wondering if the Dick Grayson rumors were in fact, true, and they did something with JGL like Marvel did with Bucky in the Captain America movie; making him part of the story but eschewing the superhero aspect of it. (I'm sure this has already been suggested in the TDKR boards, but I don't go in there anymore because of all the spoiler photos). Perhaps Grayson, after his parents were killed, became a cop, trying to find some way to avenge them. And perhaps he knows the killer was someone with power in Gotham, thus he changed his name so no one knows who he is.

I actually wouldn't mind a change like that since integrating Grayson into the story is difficult without making Batman appear to be a guy who is totally okay with letting a child go charging into gunfire.

Nolan gave JGL a character in Inception that wasnt much more than a member of the team. So no I dont think the character John Blake will be much more than a cop working with Gordon.

And Im getting so f'cking sick of people thinking all character will become other characters.

Hey, you know something is fishy with John Blake.

John Blake

Joseph Gordon Levitt

Or "Joe" as his friends could call him.

Gordon, My God, James Gordon. Both start with the letter J and have in their first names. Both share Gordon. Both play cops.

And both are less than 6 degrees removed from Kevin Bacon!

OMG, if makes sense now! Bacon = Sebastian Shaw! The X-men are crossing over into the Batman universe! Alert the Batman forums! :wow:

OMG, WWE Films is taking over Django Unchained!! Leonardo DiCaprio is being replaced with John Cena!

BREAKING: Kerry Washington has won the role of Broomhilda in Django Unchained. Director Quentin Tarantino made his choice and The Weinstein Company began exclusive negotiations with her CAA reps last night. She’ll play the long suffering slave wife of Django (Jamie Foxx), who is freed by a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) and taught the tricks of that trade. Django’s real desire is to be reunited with his wife, who winds up in a variety of unsavory places, and whose travails drive the plot. It leads to a confrontation in Candyland, a ranch owned by a the notorious Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).

Tarantino had his eye on Washington from the beginning, but he was also intrigued with making a discovery in the role, and that led to a long casting search before the director went back to Washington for the female lead. Washington will next be seen in The Details, and she stars with Eddie Murphy in A Thousand Words.

So that's why it took a long time, anyway good to see that she landed the role.

Glad to see her confirmed.
